Quoting this because I saw a tweet via John Laffler referencing Marisol (the missing Spanish sister?): I've been curious about this since I recall seeing pallets of blue boxes full of Marisol bottles via Goose's facebook page or something -- but not a single bottle of Marisol on a store shelf.
I had this on tap at Luxbar on Tuesday as I was grabbing dinner with my girlfriend. Not a bad beer at all. Pretty refreshing after a 6 mile run.
Well, none necessarily solicited, either. Just to your point that Goose takes its bottlings very seriously. And I agree with CLCardinal84 above, I think Marisol is great! I would like to (one day) buy a bottle or two for myself.
I got mine from Discount. It was just sitting on the shelves. $16.99. I heard Rays got theirs as well.
Algonquin Binnys has it in a glass case about a 5 left allowing purchase of more than one though 19.99 not the standard Binnys proce of 16.99
Any Ohio sightings/release date yet? I know Juliet and Lolita both came later but I am excited for the Madame since it is my favorite of the sisters
Saw probably six bottles at the Jewel near the Division Blue Line stop yesterday evening. Couldn't find a price tag anywhere, however.
$17.97. Still had quite a few bottles on their little seasonal island. Not to mention, for any Pumking fans, I saw probably 6-8 cases, too.
I work at Ottos Liquor on Oakland Ave. in Milwaukee, we have about a case left of this in stock. Believe $16.99 a bottle and 1 per person. Havent checked today, but we may still have single bottles of BCBS also
I was at Antioch Fine Wine and Liquors yesterday just over the border in IL and they had some, they also had a bunch of Lolita and Juliet still I was suprised. All were 19.99 I believe
Madame Rose has been spotted in the events listed for Cleveland Beer Week 2012 which kicks off next Friday...you should be able to get it at Rozis in Lakewood and likely Simones, also in Lakewood cheers
I know the price is a pinch higher but the clybourn pub has had it on sale to go for weeks. Was there as of Monday.
Or... 25%? MSRP seems to be $19.99 (not sure why the River North Binny's has it a lower price than others... a true Mystery of the Universe).
I paid $16.99 for mine at Binny's Grand. So yeah 47.06% mark-up. But then again, I did say roughly 50%. EDIT: I'm assuming we're talking about the same Binny's. But a number of stores in the 'burbs are selling them for $17 as well.
Madame Rose is currently on tap at GI Clybourn, along with some other tasty treats (Extremely Naughty Goose imperial Broad Shoulders Barleywine and Liquid Inspiration) for those interested
