Have worked it out in a couple of sushi restaurants in OC where I bring in craft beer, share it with the sushi chefs and thereby am allowed to drink my tasty beers while downing sushi. Hope to find something similar in the bay area when I head there on Jan. 2 with a carload of tasty crafts. Hope some of you can point out a place or two like that - or maybe a sushi place that serves craft beer (don't know that I've seen one in OC or anywhere else). Thanks in advance.
Not sure I know of a specific place for this, but you can always get some takeout sushi and bring it to Beer Revolution in Oakland and share beers with the beertenders and other regulars there. You can eat at joy sushi or old town sushi in San Mateo than walk around the corner to grape and grain. Adams a good guy, he might let you eat sushi atat that spot. I've eaten at CBS in the afternoon sevrel times Craig doesn't mind as long as he's not super busy, might wanna try there too. As for opening your own stuff, that might be quite more difficult Good luck
