Specs Westheimer/Kirkwood got 2 cases at about 11am. 1 per. Still none at HEB over there. And apparently Specs at 290/Jones got screwed on this one and won't be getting any. Thats kinda surprising.
Not really, as of late they are the black sheep. They haven't been getting other things either. I was just over there and she said they were supposed to get it today but didn't. She hopes they get it, but isn't sure.
BTW, for what it's worth, Fragile is a great beer. I hate spices in my beer, and I think the barrel flavors do a good job of melding with/muting them from the base beer. This beer actually reminds me of Christmas in a good way, rather than freebasing nutmeg and allspice.

Whole Foods on Bellaire still has some (wouldn't tell me how much) with a 1 bottle limit. Specs on Weslayan said hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

Opened one tonight. Absolutely loved it. I will be trying to find some more if any more locations receive shipments. Its a more muted Yule Shoot Your Eye Out with bourbon barrel characteristics that become more dominant as the beer grows warmer. If you like Yule, you'll love this.
I like a big bourbon flavor in my BBA beers so I was a little disappointed with this one, but it was still tasty. How long was it aged?
For those still looking... according to a couple friends... HEB @ Westheimer/Kirkwood got theirs. 2 bottle limit. They also put out some DR10 and DR12. Specs @ Jones/290 got a couple cases. Not sure on the limit.
DR10?! Did they find this hidden behind a pallet of Coors or something? I got a call from Specs Beer Gal at 290 and Jones telling me they were in. She said she would hold me one so I'm hoping it works out.
I don't know how much they have left, but I grabbed a bottle at 290/Jones. They also have a little something known as Brooklyn Black Ops.
$22.49 at Specs. That's probably the most I've paid at retail. Heck, I only paid $25 for Madame Rose at GI brewpub. lol
Where was the Black Ops? Behind the counter as well? I did not see it. But did pick up an Original Black Metal. Hooray.
OBannons in College Station is tapping a Karbach cask "Oh Fudge" christmas ale with cocoa tonight, FWIW. along with a cask of Fra-gee-lay.
I went in and told the beer gal, "Word on the streets is you have Black Ops.." She was like, "Oh MY god, word travels fast!" And ran back to get me one. She said she got one case and wasnt putting it out. So they're at least two down now. And I paid $22.94
i wish i'd been on this site long enough to make friends and whatnot, because i've got a bottle i'm willing to part with at cost and haven't got any real life beer geek buddies either.
