Smuttynose has a short batch series called Durty, that is amazing. It is a hoppy brown ale that just blew me away and I fear I may never taste it again. I am sure others have run into this, what was yours?
Many brews are brewed anually often 1 year is more appreciated than others.. this one in particular.. by me. So I'll just have to take it your word next years batch....not this one celebrating the 15th year ...will be the same.
Maybe it could come back as Ruination 11th Anniversary. Or it might be Ruination 15th Anniversary in a few years.
It might be The Bruery Otiose I've been looking for another bottle since one of my readers sent it to me. No such luck.
Stone Vertical Epic 09/09/09. I absolutely loved that beer. I saw it on a tap list at a place in Boston. At three years old I don't know how it's held up, but I bet it's still damn good.
Boulevard's accidentally Brett-infected RIS; Block 15's accidentally Brett-infected 2011 Figgy Pudding, all the amazing English beers I'll probably never get to have again, cos I'll never have money to go back
Had 10/10/10 on tap thus weekend and it was damn good. Wine comes through strong! Mine, Sierra Nevada 30th Ken/Jack Black Barleywine (after my stash runs out)
Oh damn! That just reminded me of another one and done I have a whole in my heart for. SN 30th Anniversary Fritz and Ken. Sooooooo tasty.
Pretty sure this one's coming back at some point...supposedly it's Nick Floyd's favorite beer they've brewed yet.
Wild Goose Spring Wheat Ale. I don't care for most wheat beers, but this one really hit home. It came in a plain cardboard color 6-pack with light green lettering. I miss it and wish it would come back. Maybe they would try a small batch to see if it could be popular?!!! Would be great. I'd by a case of cases. ha ha!
The first one-and-done for me was Uberon... barrel-aged Oberon (if I recall correctly)--opened my mind to a world of flavor.
Schell's Fresh Hop Citra Pils is the most recent that comes to mind for me. I also really enjoyed Toppling Goliath's Riwaken Dead.
