Tonight I just finished my top three: 1. Cantillon 2. Hill Farmstead 3. Russian River Beergasms occurred at each one.
1)Het Anker on Tuesday I'll probably be having Cuvee Van de Keizer Blue Feb 5th the date they brew each batch. 2)Kona Brewing love their Koko Brown plus I'd love to go to Hawaii & they're brewery has a lot stuff on tap too. 3)Brouwerij Van Steengerge Especially if Johnny Fincioen from the youtube clips is there. I wanna have a beer with that guy.
Cantillon (I mean, cmon) De Molen Russian River (I WILL make it here someday) I'd say Hill Farmstead, but I hear it's sorta a garage with a beer counter, lol. If I could sneak inside Goose Island's barrel program and get a tour, that would be awesome as well... but as far as I know, there are no tours.
Founders, Firestone Walker, and Stone. Never been to Founders or Firestone walker, gotta get back to Stone. A very close 4th is Oskar Blues because I heard they have great BBQ.
Cantillon De Struise De Dolle Was checked off my bucket list last April. I want to do a repeat in the future.
I've been to Funky Buddha. Uh, there's not much to see of their equipment (I believe it's 1bbl, very small system). The beer is just as amazing as you've heard though. They are building a new production brewery however.
3. Founders. Love their beer, would love to have access to the awesome stuff they always have going on in their taproom. 2. Three Floyds. So, I've only had Alpha King ever, since I've only ever found myself in 3F-deprived locales, but I hear nothing but outstanding things about their brewery and taproom experience, from friends who have been going to Dark Lord Day for years. But above all others... 1. Weihenstephan (But not until 2040). Ok, come on - the world's oldest active brewery, having their millenial brewing celebration? 1000 years of brewing? I don't care if they actually brew their hefeweissbier in giant toilets, that is going to be an incredible experience.
I've been to the three I mentioned. The reason I chose Russian River and Funky Buddha was not to see the breweries, but for the great beer they have at the respective taprooms. Cantillon is only worth visiting for the experience most of the time, they didn't have anything special when I visited.
Top Wants: 1. Russian River 2. Firestone Walker 3. Weihenstephan Hads: Elysian, Flying Fish, Hill Farmstead, The Alchemist, Tired Hands, Yards, Dock Street, Fiddlehead, Pyramid. Soon: Dogfish Head (Feb), Troegs, Weyerbacher, Victory (taproom only)
1. Cantillon 2. Russian River 3. Westvleteren Honorable mention: Brouwerij Drie Fonteinen I would have said Founders and Bells, but I'm going there when I head home in a few months.
Three Floyds Founders Bell's I get most of my beers from these three places so it would be nice to see where my some of my favs come from.
hmm..been to Cantillion..freakin awesome! I'll never forget Russian River(lost my wallet walking home) 1. Shorts..always been fascinated by those guys 2. Fantome 3. Smuttynose
I've been to some of the big ones, Bell's, Founders, FFF; I plan to get up to HF, Alchemist, and Lawson's this summer. Bucket list would have to be: 1. Cigar City 2. Cantillon 3. BrewDog (apparently they have Sink the Bismarck on tap regularly - just want the experience)
1. Westvleteren 2. Russian River 3. Founders Honorable mention to Shorts—love going to their stand at EBF every year.
Cantillon De Molen Westvleteren There's a bunch of US breweries on my list too, but if I could go anywhere it would definitely be all European-based.
Russian River DFH Founders for a KBS release (which I can finally make it to thanks to how they split the schedule up this year)!
My list...before I even looked at any answer! Thus you saved me the time of typing. However; it would seem that I spent more time typing this than it would have taken to just type my list myself. Oh well....thanks anyways! P.S. Maybe we can car-pool!
