Heavy Seas Black Cannon quality issues?

Did I get some bad bottles? No hoppy aroma or flavor...actually kinda sour and disappointing

Black IPA shouldn't be sour. Bad batch perhaps.

That said, I'm not a fan of the style.

Clipper City has always focused on marketing over beer quality. They always seem to have a bad batch(es) every few years, (or just bad tasting beer).

As a CT transplant in Baltimore, I wish Heavy Seas was better.

What do you think of the Heavy Seas Marzen? I think it is one of the better Octoberfest offerings.

its really not bad I get it at The Owl Bar in Baltimore a lot. Their beers in general to me "aren't bad," but nothing has ever made me think "WOW!"

I'll take DuClaw over these guys any day.

if you enjoy heavy seas you should definitely keep trying different brewery's. youll be surprised what good beer actually tastes like..

Black Cannon is an average brew. Don't buy this expecting Wookey Jack, or something.
