If stores were more upfront and the release was more organized (i.e. released statewide on the same day) there would be no need to call.

Hold on, you DRANK the beer? I'm afraid you're doing this all wrong.

Thanks to distributors and exclusive store deals, this will never happen. And, based on many phone calls I've received before (both in terms of quantity and audacity), there's still no need for most of them...

Malloy's in Glen Ellyn got one case of Cherry and at least one case of Coffee. FCFS.

I think you guys put way too much stock in the organization of distributors. I know for a fact that a lot of stores, big and small, don't know shit until the delivery gets there. Your idea is a good one, but will literally never happen.

The worst part, however, is this type of phone call, which I have been told is frequent:

Store: Hello, thank you for calling STORE, how can I help you?
Entitled Beer Jagoff: Bourbon County Coffee?
    S: Pardon me?
    EBJ: DO YOU HAVE IT?
    S: No, not y....
    EBJ: *CLICK*

I am certain that most people, on this board and in general, are not like this. But the, let's be generous and say, 15% of people who ARE like that really reflect poorly on the community and make stores not want to co-operate.

Most importantly though, that Coffee is really fantastic this year. Best one yet.

Some beer guy told me today that they weren't getting any Cherry BCS because the creator of Bourbon County quit 2 days ago. So Goose wasn't sending any out. Maybe next year. LOL

I picked up a Coffee at Lakeview Binny's last night around 6. They had 2 cases left, probably gone, but worth giving them a call.

That's not too bad, I'd split a bottle with someone for 22 bucks...Its better than the 12 bucks I spent for two old styles last time I was at the cubs game

River North. If it was in the Loop it would probably be cheaper.

You can grab a BCS cherry, coffee, Nightstalker, Juliet, and Lolita at the Winnetka Wine Shop tomorrow. The Winnetka Winter sale is this weekend. So take a trip up to Winnetka, do some shopping and buy a few great beers. You can try some wine too. We will have Nightstalker open on Sunday to try.

Sounds about right. That's less than a 100% markup. I'd take it.

While you're using the time machine to go back a week for a cherry rye, don't forget your half-priced milkshake from Steak n Shake

No Cherry out here in the South subs...at least not that I know of. Bought 2 bottles of Coffee and drank/shared them on the same day...s'good.

Still don't quite understand the hype/musthave/willrapefor train that Cherry is riding on...it's a cherry stout. Bell's has one that is pretty readily available in 6-packs if you really feel the need to taste something made in the same vein. I promise you won't get Botulism.

Dude, didn't you get the memo, you're not supposed to drink it. You just post pictures about it and tell people how easy it was to get!
