In a new Gallup report conducted between July 9-12, 2012, 66% of Americans polled drink alcohol and beer continues to be their preferred drink at 39% (up 3% over 2011) vs. wine (35%) and spirits (22%). http://www.gallup.com/poll/156770/Majority-Drink-Alcohol-Averaging-Four-Drinks-Week.aspx There's a bunch of other stats on consumption rates and demographics, but here's their Bottom Line:
They need to add a separate craft beer category to the poll. When craft beer beats out wine, then I will be impressed!
