Fullers Vintage Ale

Hey everyone,
Just wondering what the "normal" vintage of these are generally on the shelves right now. Are they aged for a year before put on shelves. I just bought an 09' so does that mean that it should have been on shelves in 2010? Been seeing them here and there, but never looked at the dates, so I finally picked one up. Excited about it the nevertheless.

I just had a 2009 as well, but I typically see 2012 on the shelves at the moment.

The year on them is the release year. So the ones that say 2012 on them for example came out towards the end of last year (2012). If you bought an 09 you are in for a treat. I opened up an 09 last march and it was really good (I got married in 2009 so I bought 4 bottles to commemorate it, I have one left saving it for I think my 5th anniversary).

I had a couple of 2008 bottles last year. They were delicious.

Haven't seen any 12 in my neck of the woods yet but am doing a 2007-2011 vertical in April. Very excited for that.

Looking forward to cracking open my 09 next year, I've had that sucker since 2011!

I had an '07 last year that was extra'd to me in a trade...it was phenomenal. Good luck with the vertical, should be a good one!

I still have a few 07's so good to hear its doing well.

The '08 is still an incredible beer, had one last month. '09 and '10 are very close to it, but really any of the vintage series are going to be great for years to come.

I'm always shocked at the acclaim this beer gets, but to each their own.
