FT: Free BA Beer ISO: First to answer 2 questions correctly

I'm a little bored at work so I thought I'd give away a beer to the first person that can answer BOTH of the following questions correctly. Please only one guess per person. I will periodically check to see if anyone has gotten them correct and possibly add clues (although I think someone will get it without clues). The beer that I am giving away is a Sierra Nevada 750ml corked and caged Barrel aged imperial maple stout with coffee added. Now for the Questions:

1) What beer was the muse for the beer that I am giving away? In other words, the beer I am giving away was sort of modeled off of another brew because an employee of SN loved the beer so much.

2) What was the beer that really got me into craft beer and is currently (still) my favorite beer?
