My guess would be something IPA related. Looking Glass as they tried it out last year around this time. Seems late in the season for a stout. Could always be a shandy....

Ahh I see what you did. Only one problem, Breakfast Stout is actually a good beer.

That shouldnt be hard to achieve. It was the worst of the backstage series.

Was 10 times better than FMB, but that's just..like...my opinion man.

Fresh, it was tasty like New Glarus' Barleywine but overrated. 2 months later, last night, we drainpoured 23 of the ounces down the drain. It's an undrinkable, stale hops-laided, boozy malt mess :slight_frown:

Worse than Frangelic? That was a total let down for me.

I didnt hate frangelic, vaguely enjoyed it, but then again, I only drank maybe 7 oz of it two times.

The hate with BC goes too far.
I enjoyed a bottle to my dome just a few weeks ago.
    Multiple people couldn't finish one?
    Lol

I heard they are bringing back Rubæus. I was dying to try it, then they retired it. Maybe that's what they are going to do for the Backstage series, but tweak it a little

    Sorry you didn't like it.
But there were at least 2 people present and you said you drain poured 23oz.
So, each person consumed at most 1oz. That's basically, at most, a single pull from the glass.
Doesn't seem enough to formulate an opinion to me.
There's a nice malt character there, and you don't seem to like that, but it's no J.W. Lees.
    To each his own.
    Cheers.

No, no, no! Devil Dancer is yucky and Double Trouble is amazing. Something went horribly wrong there.

    My opinion, of course.

There's likely some exaggeration to 23 oz. I had about 6 sips before i flushed it all away. It's not a matter of just being malty -- i mean, MOAS is malty -- its that it was STALE hops unpleasantly mixed in with bready malt.
