Torch Pils and Hoppyum just landed at Bottle Revolution in Raleigh, NC. This is a great new development! I hear that Seeing Double and one other (I forget which) will follow, as well.
I think it's great, too. I'm looking forward to the People's Porter six-packs. I could see that becoming a staple in my fridge.
Ridgewood wine and beer co. has them as well $8.99 for the six packs. They also just tapped Jade IPA today.
Just got a 6 pack of People's Porter yesterday for the first time. $8.99 Was bummed about no expiration dates as well......
Guys we just bought a date coder last week so by middle of Feb at the latest we will be bottle dating. sorry we didn't start out that way, these darn things are pricey. but I can tell you the first bottle date is Dec 4 on the foothills bottles so by the time we are bottle dating, the bottles we already filled will still be in date and then there will be no question on the new ones with dates. anyway, so you guys know we are working towards it, we hear ya!
I doubt it anytime soon...took forever for us (in Charlotte to get it on draft)...but I love being proven wrong on this forum.
Anyone else wondering what Foothills will use their bomber line for now that their original lineup has gone to 12 oz bottles? We have Seeing Double and seemingly random releases of BA PP, seasonals like Octoberfest. I'd be willing to bet Jade is next up, but after that? I'd love to see more of the seasonals in bombers. It's been a few years, but I remember really enjoying Total Eclipse stout. It's funny how, in about a year, 95% of my #ncbeer purchases have turned to FH and OHB. Keep the good stuff flowing guys!
the bbl aged stout in bottles is a possibility, stay tuned. so you guys know, just fired up our date coder, we have the packaged on date plus the batch number on our bottles.
I think Jamie is replying to this post (i.e., talking about the possibility of Barrel-Aged Total Eclipse Stout in 12 oz. bottles, which would be pretty sweet).
Can you get Foothills in Nashville? I was in Knoxville and was surprised to see the Torch Pilsner on tap and 6 packs of something. I didn't know they distributed to Tennessee at all.
I expect it's the BA Foothills Stout. I've had it several times back when it was Total Eclipse, and it's very good, one of my favorites from Foothills.
Extremely happy Foothills is bottling and dating their beers. NC has a lot of good breweries, but very few that produce year round six packs with bottling dates and good quality. NC has extremely limited access to the breweries accross the state. Great to get another brewery botteling and dating! cheers
