Last year I paid ~ $68 a ticket with ticketmaster. This year I paid ~ $64. I'm not sure where you got your information.

Honestly, I've paid as much for less. Think about the caliber of beers on tap at FoBAB, and how much these would cost in a bottle. I think it's a pretty solid deal, honestly.

Mine was $73 last year, not sure why it was $5 more than everyone else... I did print at home tickets.

Considering BCS Rare is going to be $60 a bottle, this festival is a steal...

$60 MSRP (thats the rumor anyway). We all know what the liquor stores think of MSRP on BCBS. $100 out the door

Does anyone know when volunteers might learn their assignments?

Based on ticket sales. I would say you will find out 30 minutes after FOBAB starts

Hilarious. Seriously, though, the event's more than 2 months away, there's no need to think about the shifts now. If it's like last year, there will be a volunteer meeting a few days beforehand. You will learn your assignment the day you volunteer (you will be asked to arrive an hour or two before the shift, in all likelihood - e.g., 430 or 5 for the 6-10 Friday night session).

However, they may not do the "preevent" meeting this year, since (technically) you cant pour samples at the event anyway if you're not Basset-certified. You can always work setup or cleanup though.

$60 for 500ml. Unless Rare isn't going in the new bottles.

Rare is going in the new bottles. Its not going to be 60, at least thats according to my bottle shop. They are hearing 35-40.

Which puts it roughly on par with the $50 price for original Rare, then. Or BA DL.

I am worried about allotments for these bottles this year. Can't wait to walk into Binny's. "OK you can get one bottle of regular, and then pick one variant, oh Rare? That sold out to the first 12 people"

I am expecting 2 - 3 Regular, 1-2 BW, 1 Coffee, 1 RR, 1 Prop, and you will have to know someone to get Rare.

I believe the average price for Rare in 2010 was $45. Does anyone recall how much 4 packs of regular went for in 2010?
