I have recently begun blogging for a local advertising magazine and part of my assignment has been to take pictures with beer in situ to accompany said blog. We have been having fun with it, trying to pair beers with the advertiser and next up is a flower shop.

Here is what we have come up with so far:
    a. Ithaca Flower Power
    b. Hair of the Dog Rose
    c. Elysian Avatar Jasmine IPA
    d. Half Acre Daisy Cutter
    e. Lost Abbey Red Poppy
    f. Dieu de Ciel! Rosée d'Hibiscus

If you can think of other flowery beers, let me know so that I may include (at least) their name(s) in the blog.

I agree, but this is for a blog not meant for hopheads. I need to better explain to my audience about hops as a flower. I (& they) will get there eventually.

  21. Salt Spring Islands Ales "Heatherdale Ale" was created for the world famous Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Heather ale is a Scottish (actually Pictish) style that dates back thousands of years (2000BC). Our Heatherdale ale is dark gold, lightly hopped with East Kent Goldings, then infused with the aroma of Heather flowers from the Butchart Gardens. Mild with a floral aroma.

Ha ha! We will most definitely have to bring a tulip glass with us to the photo op. Thanks, Dave!

that was the best floral beer Ive ever had, honestly. So nicely delicate and balanced, yet just enough sour to get it through. Love that beer, so sda to see it retired.
