Parabola, Sucaba, Parabola, Sucaba... Velvet Merkin is good, but it's not as good as their other barrel offerings IMO.
Anyone going to the Firestone Walker release at The Flying Saucer on Tuesday? I just called and got two tickets. The guy said they would sell out today! http://www.facebook.com/events/156075131213833/
Thanks for posting. I just called and reserved 3 spots. If anyone else wants to go, call 512 454 8200. They expect to sell out in the next hour
Wow, they're going to sell the 805 in DFW? That is pretty badass. A great lawnmower beer, and my current area code. Anyhoo, I wanted to say I am happy for my DFW friends that you will be able to enjoy FW daily. Make sure the rep brings you some unfiltered DBA. I'll see what I can't do about visiting the barrel works and sending some goodness back to you folks.
Man how I wish there were something on Monday, since I can't really drink before my overnight shift. Any tap listings yet?

Interesting. So there's beers still to be approved (err, at least added to the TABC system). Glad to see Velvet Merlin in the lineup. Man, Firestone really loves us with this initial lineup. Looks like they're pulling out all the stops. Just hoping like Ballast Point, this shows up this Sun/Mon somewhere before the official "launch" since I really can't make it out to bars Tuesday->Sat.
Constantly. I'm interested to see if the 1 case of "something delicious" mentioned above turns out to be some FW XVI. Wouldn't mind having another bottle in my cellar.
When are you coming back to Texas so I can stop reading about all the awesome beer you're drinking/buying in the Northwest?
Haha, was going to be one of the very few cases of Sucaba that made it to Texas that wasn't going to be for David Walker to sign and hand out. When Brown said that they could do a 1/6 barrel though, we opted for that instead.
I'm told that on Thursday (feb 21st) 4:30-6:60, Whole Foods Market Downtown will have a limited amount of Sucaba bottles and 5 firestone beers taped at the bar. So there's that as well.
Spec's Brodie is having a tasting event Thursday w/ Double DBA bottles available & David Walker present.
This thread depresses me. I'm crazy excited about FW finally coming to Texas, but I'll be missing out on all the roll-out festivities.
So we will have DBA, Pale 31, Wookey Jack, Velvet Merlin,Union Jack, and Succuba on tomorrow at HomeField!
I think we are going to shoot to have all 6 on by 5pm. We just got them all and now it is time for walk-in cooler Tetris.
I'll be there at 4:30 so I can have a BB2 first. Otherwise, I might get too drunk to be able to tell what it tastes like.
I'm very jealous of this. Sucaba on tap sounds good to me! Thank goodness Double Jack isn't on tap too or I might fall over...
