So, I guess this is one website I won't trust at all ever again: http://shopping.yahoo.com/news/canned-beer-taste-test-211637286.html http://www.epicurious.com/articlesguides/everydaycooking/tastetests/cannedbeertastetest Umm...surrrree it does
I won't lie, I enjoy a Coors Light from time to time with friends. I certainly don't buy any but I will drink a CL or a PBR without hesitation.
I saw this article, clicked on it and saw the pictures and closed the page. Any "competition" where Coors Light is the victor is not a true competition.
Why not include Coors Original, which actually resembles beer? I know widespread availability was their prerequisite, so Gansett or Yeungling couldn't make the cut.
When. I first started tailgating for football in college is drink CL. Then I found Heineken in cans. Then I found SN Pale Ale. Needless to say I wouldn't touch CL at this point.
I split a 36 of coors light yesterday with a few buddy's. The first few are rough but after a while you just chug them down.
I would say that those are the best canned beers that you would actually drink right from the can after pulling out of a cooler full of ice. Coors light is very refreshing when you drink it as a replacement for water on a hot day tailgating or beach hanging. I have never drank a Ten Fiddy or other such a masterpiece from the can. I must pour these into a glass so the vessel it is purchased in is irrelevant.
A) $8.59 for a 6 pack isn't alot, plus I can get SN for $6.99/6 pack pretty readily and SN is available in all 50 states B) this might as well be comparing Arrowhead, Crystal Geyser, Aquafina, Dasani, etc. all taste the same
When a beer is in aluminum form (like the Coors 16 oz stubby shape I'm having right now) is it a can or a bottle?
I just saw this on Yahoo. These guys have no clue what they're talking about. Natural Light came in fourth place?, Welp, There goes any credibility those "Advocates" had!. Don't get me wrong, None of those beers are any good, But PBR is loads better than Natural Light.
Actually Bud Light, Budweiser and Miller Lite topped Coors Light in sales in 2012...but who's counting? http://www.saveonbrew.com/blog-article/the-top-10-selling-beers-in-america-2012
I can't even bring myself to drink coors light.... let alone enjoy it............ there are so many other AAL's out there that have a bad rap................... lifes short................try them all....................
Uh....Heady Topper? that there be best canned beer.. But for Domestic you have a great argument, id put Coors Original just ahead but they're basically neck and neck in my opinion!
I'm convinced those who prefer Coors Light don't really like beer. They just need something that is cold and flavorless.
Even speaking not as a beer advocate, Coors is by far the worst of the big three. What little taste it has is tinny and oddly urine-like. It is beyond revolting. In terms of shitty canned macro lagers (excluding Yuengling), High Life is the best, followed by PBR and Miller Lite.
I'm not sure that their numbers are right. Everything I've seen puts Bud at #3 and Coors Light at #2 now. Here is an article from Ad Age about it from early 2012: http://adage.com/article/news/coors-light-blasts-bud-2-brew/231980/ If Ad Age's numbers are no longer accurate then that means that either Bud's sales spiked or CL's collapsed but I don't think either of those are true. I wonder where your link got their numbers from. I'd really like to see the source info for that. I'm just genuinely curious about this.
"Oddly" enough, those on the list are all distributed by Coors Dist Co. around there here parts, anyway
My neighbor and I have been drinking some ice cold "Kers" (proper pronunciation) Light in the garage all evening. You prissy pants-es don't know what your missing.
