Election 2012 Beers

This thread is not about politics. It's about what you are thinking about opening for Election Day.

It might be geeky, but I sincerely enjoy watching the returns come in on election night. I'm thinking one of these selections from my cellar/beer fridge might be appropriate:

Lost Abbey Judgment Day
Stone Double Bastard
SN Celebration Ale or Ayinger Celebrator (depending on the results)
Deschutes The Abyss or AleSmith Old Numbskull (also depending on the results)
Olde Bluehair (ever notice how every president goes gray within about 3 years?)
Founders Imperial Stout (in honor of the real Founders)
Various selections from Great Divide (you figure it out)
Avery The Czar (in honor of what the election isn't)

I'll probably have my homebrewed Pumpkin Porter, but I also have a fresh 6-pack of Sierra Nevada Celebration. Both get my vote!

It's not geeky at all. I too will be glued to the TV watching the news and awaiting the returns, and I am most definitely NOT a ``news junkie''.

I will be enjoying one or two of my White House Honey Porter Homebrews I whipped up once they released the recipes. Its pretty darn tasty, but depending on the results I was thinking maybe 2010 Abyss or any of my 3 year vertical Darkness, or Ale to the Chief.

What ever it is, I will drink copious amounts. I will probably fill a couple growlers in the morn.

I'll be having an Alpha King... there can only be one!

I'll be working for one of the campaigns at the polls all day, so after 13 hours of that I'm not sure I'll be able to stay awake long enough to have a beer lol.

I will be drinking my first ever Speedway Stout. That way even if my guy loses I'm fairly sure it will be a good night anyway.

Ill be going to sleep early since I have to work the next day. Im doing my drinking tonight.

I will be having a Weihenstephaner Vitus with the boneless pork shoulder out of the slow cooker. After that I will be uncorking a 750 of Chimay Blue for the early results I can watch on AFN before bed.

Still holding onto my last BCBS 09 so tomorrow could be the night.

I'll be out of town in Georgia, so I presume something from Terrapin or Sweetwater.

I'll be drinking some Bitter American (long night) and a Hoppin' Frog BORIS to honor Ohio.

Beer Geek Brunch Weasel. It starts with a bunch of weasels shitting all over the place and then we have to drink it.

It also happens to be delicious.

Think I may hit a bar after voting and watch the results roll in. If that's the case, it'll likely be Four Peaks Hop Knot or some kind of seasonal they have on.

But I'm getting a jump start, trying to send some good juju towards Washington.

I sure hope so. Got one in my fridge I'm thinking of saving until Thanksgiving.
