Do Bourbon County Stout and KBS just dominate other bourbon barrel stouts?

No ... they just get talked about more. Both are fun to drink but there is a whole world of beer out there. Always a brewer playing around with barrels. Exploring is entirely up to you, for me I am always looking for the next "wow" beer.

They might now, but when the BBA Narwhal is released they will be knocked down a peg or 2.

Yes...yes it is. However given how god damn hard it is to get....and it isn't bottled and distributed (yeah a few bottles were made) it's hard to compare. Still one of the best beers this man has ever had and yes as good as a vintage BBC if not better.

Absolutely not. It's all a matter of personal taste, but I think Parabola is better than the both of them, though KBS is right up there with it.

For me, bcbs is on a tier all its own above other barrel aged stouts. I also think parabola is better than kbs.

I've got 10 I'm slowly nursing down each as magnificent as the last. One of the best I've experienced. Wish it was at a minimum available throughout the winter, cuz it def lives up to the hype!!

Trying BBB for the first time tonight, I totally have to agree with this. I love coffee stouts and this one is definitely in the running for the title of best one I've had to date. Very impressive!

For me it's BCBS - Parabola - KBS - BA BORIS. I have yet to try BB PtF and Black Note. I am very satisfied and content with these and have tried many BA stouts over the years.
