I told my liver to take a hike, that he needed to stay at home and think of all the bad things hes done, and that when I return home on Sunday, he would be welcomed back.

I spoke with the hotel manager today. She's fine with drinking and trading in the lobby as long as everyone maintains their composure. She's also going to try to set aside a second room for drinking and trading. Keep in mind though that there is also a wedding party at the hotel. Don't be the jerk that ruins someone's wedding night.

Feed the Brides Maids beers to make the night better for the Groomsmen!;)

    Ok....thinking of bringing roughly:

A case of random 12oz Michigan beers
A case of Founders Breakfast Stout
2 or 3 local Michigan growlers
About a dozen assorted bombers of barrel aged goodness

So one question....how much is too much beer? (I am pretty sure I know the answer ;))

I might of hit the "too much beer"
    10 assorted growlers
    2 flats of Surly cans

That might be enough for the DLD line, but not the Hampton Inn!

Am I going to be kicked out of these tastings for not bringing more beer than anyone knows what to do with? I thought I was bring a lot w/ two growlers and a 750.

Haha you are definitely bringing a lot (especially if it's STL locals!). For me personally I just haven't had enough of a collection to really contribute a ton in the past so part of me is trying to make up for that this time...

Nope. I personally will be pouring beers like it's my job, regardless of what you have.

I've found that beer people like sharing

Definitely not! I'll gladly share with anyone who comes up with an empty glass and is willing to BS with me.

Some one needs to stay kind of sober so we keep a journal of what was opened. Crap....

How do you think the hotel would feel about a 1/6 bar? I could bring 3f behemoth or new holland envious.

My six Aussie beers made it home ok! I'll probably pull a couple things out of the cellar as well. Can't wait.

Luckily I'll be bringing a Raoul Duke style notebook to document our weirdness.

If you brought a sixtel of Behemoth you might go down in DLD history.

I'm going to add a bottle of each of The Wine and Cheese Place barrel aged beers released so far, Schlafly Bourbon Barrel Quad and 2nd Shift Barrel Aged LSD. I should also make a note that my 6 beers from down under aren't all Aussie, 2 are from New Zealand.

Barrel Aged LSD? Damn I didn't know they were barrel aging hallucinogens (spelling) nowadays

Ha! Just yet another crazy beer name from the crazy guys at 2nd Shift. LSD=Liquid Spiritual Delight, although the BA version is spelled wrong on the label, Liquid Spritual Delight.

So what time are the festivities kicking off? Should we shoot for gathering around 8pm?

That should be fine for our group. We're going to Revolution whenever we get into Chicago and then we'll get to the Hampton.

If I didn't already have one of those I'd consider this. I have a habit of breaking CCB snifters though, so I better pass :).

Got juiced up while I was packing brews so I had to take some pics of what's coming along to jump down some throats.
