Let's try this again and see how long this thread stays up before it gets taken down...

Official details are still being finalized, but the information is back up: http://darklordday.tickets.musictoday.com/3FloydsDLD/calendar.aspx

Tickets on sale Sunday, March 17 at 12 PM (CT). Two tickets per person.

This year Three Floyds will be instituting a system by which you must have an ID that matches the name on the ticket. Similar to many other high-demand events, it looks like a purchaser + one guest type system to cut down on reselling.

Tickets are $30 each and 'A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be donated to our festival charities.'

Other than the opportunity to pay more money for beer, what else is included for the $30? Thinking about going this year and would be a first timer. Thanks.

Bands, but metal bands mostly (if you're into it). I would bet that Pig Destroyer is playing this year, which would make the 30 bucks worth it ... if I could attend.

I drove 8 hours to Indiana two summers in a row to see them. Wish I could go to DLD this year (it would be my first as well). $30 to buy beer is pretty steep though, if you're not into the bands.

Details still to come. In the past, ticket entry included access to the event and metal bands hired to play at the event. All beer sales, taps, etc. have not been included in the price in the past, and nothing has been released to date to make this year seem any different than what they have done previously. There is one notable change this year - the event has been moved to a park across the street from the office park where FFF is located. The impact of the move on the event is currently unknown. (i.e. ticket count, event setup, etc.)

For $30 you get metal bands, port o johns, tables and chairs to sit down at, security guards to keep you safe and the rest as stated above, goes to charities. Maybe they'll give us something more for our money this year, who knows.

Does that 30 bucks get you anything besides the ability to buy dark lord or what?

They will still most likely sell out, it's the nature of the current craft beer market.
