I'm coming to Long Beach next month and one of my favorite stouts is Older Viscosity. How hard is it to score some while I am there?

Do you have $20? You should be able to find some at the decent liquor stores in the area.

Someone sent me a case of the 12.7oz "older viscosity". This is a year round brew?

Old Viscosity is year round but Older Viscosity is not. It's typically released once a year but they didn't release a batch in 2012. The last time it was released was in April of 2011.

This. It's long gone. Your best bet is to hope 2013 comes out ASAP, or try to set up a trade with someone who still has some of the awesome 2011 batch.

Yeah I haven't seen it around in a long time. Though you can get Barrel Aged Santa's Little Helper easily.

The Seal Beach Beachwood bottle list might have some, though I haven't looked through it in a while.

They sure do. Their bottle list is flat out insane right now.

OP. Just hang out at Beachood. if you have a ride, take a drive. Don't sweat the reviews it's worth a visit, especially the bottle shop. Bruery is much closer though.

$25 for a 12oz beer. Maybe if it were an '09.

This place is notorious for being a little pricey compared to their competitors. They still have Infinium, and a lot of the Stone collaborations that sold out a long time ago.

Please do yourself the biggest favor you could and drop into Beachwoods downtown Long Beach branch. Great food and an amazing selection of world class craft and at the LB location you can purchase growlers to go.
They are crafting some of the best beer on the west coast and it's a treasure for great food and drink. The original location in Seal Beach is fabulous as well but doesn't have the selection of house beers that LB does, Julian is on point and the word is out.

    Cheers....
