Who is saying a bottle share in line at 7am? For the past couple of years we have done one inside and there have no issues.

I encourage everyone in front of me to bottleshare. It will thin out the line.

In all seriousness, how many beers can you actually drink between 7 am and 11 am and still be coherent enough to enjoy the dozens of great beers being offered inside? This isn't a Charger game where you slam down a 12 pack of Coors light in the parking lot so you can avoid paying $8 for a 20oz Bud Light inside the stadium.

Last year, it was about 3pm when there ceased to be a line to get in.

I INSIST on risking the establishments license by bringing sand to the beach.

I am going to be there in spirit. My birthday is also March 2nd and I will be working in Florida...mega bummer. I fully expect my entire San Marcos and Whales, bro crew to order a CFH and place it on the table in my honor. Cheers to everyone who is attending!

Of course! But it'll cost you a minimum of 4 BCBS units and/or 1 KH unit.

I have never done the line thing at Churchills. How do they separate the bottle buyers who want to grab-and-go from the people who want to buy bottles and stay around to drink?

BTW, for anyone who actually follows through on their early morning threats, it was pretty cold last year...so cold the lawyers had their hands in their own pockets. Come prepared.

Heading down from Santa Cruz this afternoon. Staying at the Ramada as well, so will definitely be down for some bottle sharing. Looking forward to the weekend.

It will be 57 degrees (predicted) by 8am, but 10 degrees colder for those who come an hour or 2 earlier. I'm bringing a sweater.

There were people last year who waited in line, got their tickets for bottles, and then boned out to come back at a later time when it wasn't so crowded. Not that bad of an idea really since the next day they still had at least 90% of the same beers on tap still.

That is what I would do. I am just wondering if the bar opens at 11 and there are 200 people in line but the bar only holds 80, will they wait for people to leave before allowing more patrons inside even if they just want to grab some bottles and leave?

Is there a separate area for bottle purchases?

Last year, no separate area. Ivan handled all sales himself.
And yes, once it fills up, someone has to leave before someone gets in.

I'll be there at some point in the mid-late afternoon - hopefully people can post some crowd updates as the day goes on. Gonna pick up my Alesmith beers first thing, maybe hit up a couple other places, then Churchill's.

Everyone lucky enough to attend, please provide regular updates on the profundity of AM line fusterclucking so those of us who cannot attend can try to rationalize that we're better off not going. Anything less than the recent Citra debacle will make it tough to rationalize effectively, so exaggerations are welcome.
