Need to get to Sweden NOW! Someone want to give me a lift?
Oh man. Talk about ISO x2
i got friends in stockholm , that bar will not let you leave with a unopened bottle....
Needs to hit WI, so I can pick it up
I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone tries to handlebottle it in Akkurat's bathroom in order to trade it on the trading forum. Everyone knows Soleil de Minuit with dingleberries is rarer than the noraml stuff.
Send me the empty bottle and I'll fill it my cloudberry lambic. Then post a FT: cloudberry lambic and show the bottle, technically I wouldn't be wrong.
Never gonna happen.
It's delicious and one of the few rare Cantillons that is actually valid of the hype. Not saying Cantillon doesn't deserve it's praises as I am a huge fan of their beers, but of all the rare ones I have had, this one is very unique and warrants the effort to obtain.
Given that it's for on-premise consumption only; how long will it probably stick around?
As much as I love Cantillon's beers, I find some of these rare ones to be unworthy of hype. Aren't they mostly all the same beer just with different fruits? I'm sure Soleil De Minuit is delicious, but how many people are going to fly to Sweden just to drink this beer because it has cloudberries? I don't even know what cloudberries taste like.
The cloudberries taste like snozberries.
We are the music makers....and we are the dreamers of dreams.
I had to use every inch of willpower I had to not go there on Friday. Stupid needing money to do stuff.
Very few, but I think a decent amount of people will go there because it is Soleil de Minuit.
Some guys just don't understand wæls.
The last batch lasted 11 years... so as long as you get there in the next couple of years you'll be fine. At the release only 70 bottles were sold (to a cheaper, special price) and I heard from a credible source that they made 2000 bottles.
It's the label....checkout the most recent checkins on untappd.
Scratch that... 72 bottles sold on opening day and approximately 600 left. That's still plenty for the coming years
How much does it cost in SEK?
I have a buddy who was there a few days ago and they said they didn't have any. He did have a vintage Stormaktsporter though.
That is very odd. They must have bottles left, but why they didn't want to sell him any, I do not know. :S
God, that would suck: to go all the way to Stockholm, hoping to try this beer, only to be told that there isn't any left.
O wait, that's what happened to me a year and a half ago
I already put out the ISO... I'm only sort of kidding.
Wait, so it is sold out already?
Where did you hear that?
Just because they wouldn't sell YOU a bottle doesn't mean they're sold out.
I dropped over a grand at Akkurat over 4 days in April and I still was shut out of scoring a Loerik which I know they have at least one last case sitting in the cellar. Bottles ordered (only wales):
3F 50th Anniversary
3F 1999 Screenprint
3F 1999 normal bottling
3F J&J Blauw
3F J&J Roze
Cantillon Cuvée de Florian 1996
Cantillon Reed Muscat
Cantillon Reed Pinot Noir
Narke Konjaks Stormaktsporter
The fuck? Are you a professional athlete? A renowned film and television actor? A high-level exec at a Fortune 500 company? How can you afford to spend $1000+ at a bar in Sweden in four days?
Lol, no, just a guy that loves beer and loves to travel. I have a pretty good job, but honestly I just budget for this sort of thing. Hell of a way to celebrate my 30th birthday.
Damn impressive, but did you bring a personal dentist? That enamel has gotta be real thin after all those.
1k is a good ass deal for all those bottles. Too bad you couldn't take one to go
I was there on June 13 and can assure you that Soleil is still available.
Excellent, now I can start planning my trip to Stockholm
