How does this prove that BCBS is there though? They (GI) has been doing these stupid market-release parties recently and bringing just normal offerings.

There was NOT any BCBS at the Burgundian last night. They were giving away free beer, but it was the normal, year-round crappy GI stuff.

Ain't gonna see it round these parts....though for Imperial Stout Lovers, E9 in Tacoma on Thursday would be a good place to show up if you wanna try a delicious treat.

The distributor said that WA got chumped on the first round of the Bourbon County release. Basically Goose Island thought they had enough to give WA some but there was some screw up where did not have enough. There will be another release of Bourbon County early next year and WA "might" get some. So I guess will just have to keep waiting with out fingers crossed.
Overall it is total bull in my opinion, if you say WA will get some bourbon county the week of november 27th then do it, dont hype the shit out of it and leave us hanging, screw you In-Bev

As a consolation Pelican MOAS just hit Seattle, but its $23.99+tax ouch! oh well you only live once

    You buried the lede...
Just made my month bro! Been waiting for this for a long time, didn't even expect to see distribution. And it's my birthday. Now I'm just trying to talk myself out of buying a second bottle.
    Cheers!

Read this wrong initially and thought it was sold out at WF-Westlake, which for those interested, it definitely is not...

I talked to the distributor yesterday. Nothing official but the November release was a no go, and we might see some of the second wave release in January.

I've heard some rumblings about this coming to WA in January in a second wave. Anyone have any solid information?

This thread is 3 pages of rumors and speculation. I'd rather be reading more haiku.

I asked a CBA higher up today if that was true and he said it's nothing he's heard of, and not to get my hopes up.

This beer is just not good enough to get your jimmies rustled. B-bomb is sooo much better IMHO.

I haven't had the beer for about three years. So I'd like to try it again but not enough to trade for. The value is good for these beers too with a four pack running in the low to mid twenties typically. Also I like to drink big beers like this in the smaller twelve ounce format.
  19. Just got 2x4packs of BCBS shipped to Washington, FREE (bought other stuff too), from halftimebeverage.com - looks like they're sold out now, but keep an eye on it they'll prolly have more as that's exactly what I did.

Though not bourbon barrel aged, I prefer Green Flash Double Stout to BCBS and we can get these on a regular basis. Also too, at the price point, I'd just as soon have SN Narwhal. Both of these are available in 12-oz. bottles.

Narwhal is good, but it's nowhere near in the same class as BCBS in my opinion.

Try Narwhal spiked with a shot of Jack Daniels. Instant BCBS.

BCBS has considerably more body, in addition to the bourbon / barrel contributions.

That's just the thing (and I know we all have different tastes and all) --- I'm just not a fan of BCBS. It's too boozy and hot. I've realized after trying many, many high-ABV beers that 12% is as high as I like to go. Anything above that and the alcohol is distracting and unpleasant. I'd still take a Narwhal over a BCBS if both were placed in front of me.

Plus, GI can kiss my ass...

Same difference I guess. We're talking about dumping whiskey into a beer after all.

This is probably the first beer i have hated before even trying it. I'm just so sick of hearing about it and seeing pics of ppl hoarding 30 bombers of it. AB InBev will mass produce it and the hype will die... hopefully.

Officially the most played out brew ever...

Will you people please stop posting to this goddamn thread? Every time I see a new post I click on it thinking, "maybe there's some actual information about BCBS hitting Washington." I didn't even think it was that great the one time I had it (only ever got two bottles in 2010, still have one in the cellar); I just want to replenish my supply so I can decide for sure whether I ever want to bother ever buying it again.

Carry on, my rant for the day. Cheers!
