Blind taste test. Nugget Nectar vs. Lagunitas Imperial Red

I had them on consecutive days recently and found NN to be much more hop-forward and citrusy, while RED had a much stronger sweet caramel malt backbone.

Really, I cant decide which one I like better. Both are terrific beers.

I thought about ignoring him even though he is a good poster. That avatar really creeps me out.

Most whole foods and metro markets have it, I think like 11.99 a sixer or something, get it while you can, it's damn good

March 23rd is the 83rd day of the year.

The NN was dated 3/21, and the Lagunitas 3/23. Thats pretty darn close in dates.

I really want to know what that thing is, looks like something from An American Werewolf In London.

Just picked up my first Lagunitas Imperial Red six pack while in San Antonio. I've yet to see it in my normal stomping grounds in Austin and Round Rock. Thought it was quite tasty...but I'm kind of a Lagunitas whore to be honest. I dig just about everything they release. Very nice comparison of the two reds here OneBeer. Looking forward to trying the NN some day.
