Was out and about in the SW burbs on Wednesday and no one really seemed to know much of anything. The small shops had no clue, some had never even heard of BN. All I got from Binny's was "we hope so" and "maybe check back this week."
Talked to a guy at one of the south sub binnys... he seems to think they will not be getting any. He said it will probably only be a handful of stores in burbia that get any.
I heard one distributer had only 5 cases for the West region. I'm not too familiar with that side of the biz, but it appears that minimal amounts are making their way out...BCBS Cherry rarity
This thread needs to be called "Black Note 12oz Singles-Chicagoland". No one is gonna be selling 4packs because 1/case/store if they get any.
Armanettis in Aurora was selling 4 packs today, same with corner cottage in elmhurst yesterday. Both out now. But there are places selling it by the 4 pack
yaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwn Anybody want this? Wheres my BCBS?? While it is the closest attempt; it has an off flavor, one I can not describe. I smell it and taste it....BCBS does not have this weird flavor. I'll take any BCBS over black note. Hopslam is obviously nice as always.....Anxious to try it on tap.
Maybe you should be drinking coffee instead. I've heard people say you get weird off flavors when you taste and yawn. Weird I know.
I was at Woodman's in North Aurora asking for Hopslam, and the girl at the counter brings me out a 4-pk of Black Note. I must have looked at her weird because she goes "wait, isn't this what you wanted?" I told her I'd take it. They were out of Hopslam though. Sold through 40 cases. Balls. Also, I haven't tried BN yet, but Ditka>BCBS for sure. And I love BCBS.
Trick question. There were references in both movies. (Though What About Bob had the more poignant line, admittedly).
Really? I need to revisit that film apparently. Debatable. I will say that as far as psychology-themed comedies go, it can't be beat. Back to the Black Note thread

Woodmans did have a nice stash of NS/BJ tho. But yes they are out of hopslam/black note. At least I got something out of the trip
Took Downers Grove 47 minutes to sell out. Glad I was having lunch just one strip mall over when the Tweet came out!
Got two at Glen Ellyn Binnys about an hour ago. Well I got one and GF got me one earlier in the day, I dunno if they have any left but it was there for a few hours at least (which I wont understand how DG Binnys could sell out so quick and people don't think to drive 10 minutes North to GE Binny's, but oh well, more for me!).
Legend has it that there were only 10 cases of this so called "black note" in the city of Chicago....scary!
