Colorado --> Odell's IPA. I just had my first Left Hand Milk Stout in a good while and was reminded just how much I enjoy that beer, so that would be my honorable mention.
In Iowa, we don't have many good in-state beers in sixers...yet. Toppling Goliath starts bottling this spring, so therefore it will be my favorite sixer from my state and from any state for that matter. Get on the bandwagon.
In VA -- toss up for me between: Devils Backbone Kilt Flasher and Port City Porter In DC -- DC Brau Public
These. I would add Mother Earth Dark Cloud in there to make a nice top 5 for NC as far as this category is concerned.
Most from NY would say Ithaca Flower Power, and they wouldn't be wrong. I'll throw in Ommegang Abbey Ale and Brooklyn Pilsner. In my home state of Maine, I'd say Geary's HSA and whatever seasonal Peak Organic has out at the moment.
Ohio - Great Lakes Edmund Fritzgerald comes in a 6'er 4 pk has to be Fathead's Head Hunter. Incredible brew.............
Hey Joe, that reminded me the local watering hole has Thursday specials on in state beer. Thanks, dude
For Chicago, I vote Zombie Dust for best, Revolution Anti-Hero for best value. And yes, I know Zombie Dust is $35/case at the brewery. I'm talking at a beer store in the city. I'm not going to make a habit out of driving all the way to Munster every week.
Blue Mountain Full Nelson Pale Ale pretty much blows everything else in VA out of the water as far as year round beers go.
I'm in PA, and thought the $9/sixer I recently paid for Gonzo was the best purchase I've made in forever.
Does Three Floyd's count as chicagoland? If so definitely Zombie Dust. Otherwise I'm on board with Anti-Hero and Hopslayer
Im from Wisco also and I would go with Oso Night train with my Honorable mentions being Central Waters Mudpuppy porter and Sprecher Black Bavarian
I gotta go with Flower Power. I'd love to say Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout because I can usually find it for 10 months or so of the year near me, but I could say the same with ST Choklat as well.
I gotta go with anti hero.. shame that possibly the best year round 6 pack out of Illinois only came out like 4 months ago.
