I'm a big fan of Highland Oatmeal Porter and Bells Porter.

Black Butte is probably the best one, followed very quickly by Odell Cutthroat. But as an every day easy drinker gotta give some love to my hometown brewer Boulevard and their Bully! Porter.

Founders and Smuttynose easily for readily-available 6er porter in MA. I've had EdFitz and I'll cosign on the love, I wish I could get it here. Same goes for Black Butte; absolutely fantastic brew. I have to give some love to Boulevard's Bully! Porter, as well. All great breweries making a great style.

    My picks:

Best 6 pack porter: Sierra Nevada
Best 22oz. porter: Smuttynose Baltic porter or Firestone Walkers Reserve

Founders. I personally didn't enjoy Bell's at all but I could have had some bad bottles.

I agree on the Smuttynose. That's my favorite Baltic porter, and I'm a big fan of the style.

Generally the only 6-pk porter available here in Spokane is Black Butte, so it wins by default.

Summit's Great Northern Porter take the cake for me. I don't understand why it doesn't get more love. The second ever beer that I had and actually liked.

I thought this was best 6 pack porter from your state, woops lol. In that case, Mayflower is good, but Founders can be had in MA and its probably my favorite. Mayflower a close second.

Black Butte slightly edges out Founders and Edmund Fitzgerald here. All three are really great.

as is the trend on BA, bias toward the more populated areas/distribution. I've lived in MI (Founders/Great Lakes) area and Odell Cutthroat and Black Butte win out for me, if we're talking porter. Founders Imperial Stout, however; is redonk if we're talking stout.

Edmund Fitzgerald. I find it quite a bit better than Founders, personally.

Brewed in MA=Mayflower which is a very nice easy drinking porter, but best available in MA would be Founders Porter. Cambridge Brewing Company actually brews the best porter in MA just only available in growlers, draft or cask.

I had forgotten about O'Fallon. That is a great beer that I wish I could get in VA. I'd vote for that and Founders personally.

Doesn't really count since its not available in a sixer, but Berkshire Brewing Co. out of Deerfield, MA makes a mean Coffeehouse Porter, really good stuff.

Fuller's London Porter, Black Butte, Avery New World. I liked Ten Pin from Ska and Odell Cutthroat when I was in AZ.
