Hey Asheville Bas. I was just wondering what everyone's experience was in past years as far as finding BCBS in Avl. I would guess Brusin ales and App vintner would get some? Any variants available in previous years? How quickly did it disappear last year? Any info for this year? Cheers!

From what I have been told, the Triangle and Piedmont are only getting BCBS, Regal Rye and Rare this year and in limited amounts due to lack of GI sales in these areas. Hopefully Asheville will be better, but I doubt it.

App Vinter had regular and the coffee version last year, but fair warning the coffee sold out pretty quick.

I wonder if all three bottle shops will get similar shipments?

Some triangle shops have already posted that they are getting bottles of coffee.

Are we talking about waiting at the door before they open or just showing up shortly after they open?

I would wait at the door especially if you want a chance at any varients

They were waiting at the door before they opened. I got there shortly after they opened and was able to get BCBS. But the coffee had sold out.

I got there 15 minutes before the sale last year and got variants. Even though it has picked up recently the "beer chasers" only chase stuff like 12 packs of Cold Mountain for the most part. I would guess 90% of beer drinkers around here would be like "WTF"! if you asked them if they wanted to buy a $60 plus tax bottle of Rare.

Has anyone confirmed variants will be coming to town? I saw the Monk was ruffling a Rare so that's a good sign
