BCBS 2012 - Michigan Release/Sightings

Champanes is getting it tomorrow...eight cases with a one bottle limit. Anywhere else in SE Michigan getting it this week?

Im not sure yet. Im still getting mixed messages from everyone. I was told by one person that he didn't think anyone was getting it this week. I've also been told some places are getting it, had lists, and they're full even though I've called before on more then one occasion, specifically asked about a list and was told there were no lists....

This is the frustrating part of the hobby.......

Yeah I saw an older woman ask when I was there and she called it "some bourbon beer". Ashley and I laughed.

Weird how some of Oakland county stores got some, but the South West stores in OC didn't

Im not sure he was referring to the way Holiday handled it but maybe more to the people in oc that bought it all up.

still no sign of it in A2, it might stay that way

I asked some people in GR yesterday and they said a few weeks if at all.

Just tipped my tour guide at dark horse with a bcs if that counts.

I'm confident that GR will get some as I got a good amount last year there...A2 sounds much less likely. Although, I may just be killing my expectations just so that when I find some I'm really happy...

The places I've talked to in AA definitely have no idea of when or even if they'll be seeing any

Yeah, I'm not blaming them, just the whole situation. People bringing their mom, gf, and grandma as mules, kind of sad. The whole scene has gotten out of control. I got mine (not from Holiday since I had to work) and I'm happy, and done hunting this shit down. It is too tiring and frustrating.

I was there at 2:15pm. When I was cashing out at 3:05pm, there was still a case and a half left. If you missed out, you talked to the wrong person.

Holiday had 9 cases.

As far as GR goes... Its not even in the distributors warehouse yet. My brother and best friend deliver/load the trucks for the local distributor. As soon as it is out in GR I will pass on the info.

How is it so late on the westside? Good thing I have a few from last year to hold me over.

Dont know that is odd though. I'm assuming whoever they use has a different distributor and they get their shipments at different times. Id would just figure though that if they're going to drive the trucks all the way up here may as well hit everyone...
Maybe the timing is different, ie some get their stuff once a week some every 2 weeks. Not really sure how that works on the distributor side of things....

The Keweenaw now has ample supply of 2012 BCBS...in fact, we will be tapping a 1/6th barrel this Friday. Load the caravan, and get a group to come up and imbibe! We still have two rooms left this weekend...

I agree completely, it's close to impossible to find anything limited now-a-days. For what it's worth who ever brought their grandma to a beer release is a fucking loser.

Totally agree on both accounts. These releases get talked up and hyped. Then people wonder why some people are reluctant to post where things show up at.

I've been up and down with the limited thing too. I'm at the point now if I can get some with a little bit of effort then so be it, if not oh well. That said I managed to get what I wanted and I didn't have to resort to having my family to mule for me.

I am surprised to see people posting sightings at all anymore. It's usually either after they picked up thier allocation, or its already all sold out.

Well id imagine that they don't post before because they're afraid if they do there wont be any left by the time they get there.
