On the old board I thought I read that Ballast Point was real close to being released here and should be hitting end of Feb or first of March. Anything new on that? I've checked out my usual places and come up empty thus far.. sorry if this has been asked already..still acclimating to the new surroundings..
The last update I heard from Corey at the Common Table was that he was hoping to have them on tap by the second week of March at the latest, along with Alaskan Brewing. So they may hit the shelves around the same time.
Was out and about the other day asking about Ballast, many are saying the first of April now. They may have pushed back the launch to not compete against Alaskan that is releasing this week.
As long as they get it figured out for alaskan and ballast point by winter seasonals I'm okay with it. If we miss out on victory at sea, smoked, and baltic porters I'm going to be pissed.
Agreed. If all we ever get from these breweries is their year round releases, then it will be not that interesting to me. Don't forget the Alaskan Barleywine, it is well reviewed also.
Just saw this on FW Saucer Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=9046170&l=7bfb1f57b1&id=111502314913

This post is well over a month old. I don't see any credible proof it is any closer to being here....
Hit'em up on Facebook. They have been more than willing to answer questions. I last messages them about 2 wks ago and they said, they are working on getting the 1st shipment ready to go out.
I have a friend that works for Andrews and he said it will be at least a month till they are here. They've only sent samples so far.
Common Table just posted that Ballast Point will be tapped on Wed... Calico, Pale Ale, Big Eye, and Sculpin... FINALLY!!!
Hello. As mentioned by nickss, the Common Table will tap four kegs tomorrow. Next week or thereabouts, Spec's will have bottles of Ballast Point as well as Alaskan. P.S. They also have the 75 Minute bombers right now.
Just picked up a sixer of sculpin and big eye at Lonestar. The sculpin hurt the wallet at 16.99. Got home and the the best by date is 7/19/12 and I believe that means it was bottled jan 19. Hoping For the best
$17 a sixer isn't that bad if you calculate it by the ounce compared to a bomber. The bomber price of $9.50 would be $31 a sixer...
Anyone know if this is going to make it to Tarrant county? Kinda assuming no. No worries since I'll be in Dallas over the weekend. Should I head over before Saturday to Lonestar?
Saw 6 packs at Halls. (4 varieties) Sculpin was $15.89, others were $10.89. FW Saucer is supposed to tap Sculpin on Friday.
Midway Mart in Denton has Ballast Point as of about 45 minutes ago. No Sculpin, but Big Eye and their Pale Ale
Spec's off 75 has Sculpin bombers, big eye (6-pack)and pale ale (6-pack). He said 6 packs of Sculpin will be available tomorrow morning.
Which Kegs and Barrels did you go to? The one on 15th didn't get any as far as I know, but when I was at the Parker Road location Friday night they had all four Ballast Point beers available.
Spec's Dallas now has 6-packs of Sculpin available. They weren't stocked yet as of 10:20 but just ask the beer guy. They also have Deviant Dale's
I was at Hall's this morning and they didn't have Sculpin out, but were willing to get it from the back for me. You might have to ask them.
Shaun at Midway Mart in Denton said that they should be getting Sculpin in soon, and that he had ordered it but the distributor gave him the pale ale instead last week.
