I heard from a reliable source that Ballast Point is coming to Austin pretty soon (next month or two). Anyone else hear anything about this?

They responded to a FB post of mine a while back saying we were in their short term plans. At the time they just couldn't make enough beer but that they were in the process of raising their pars to meet our demand. I hope it happens sooner than later but they wouldn't give me any general time frame for it to happen. Definitely something to look forward to....
Keg 1 is going to be handling Ballast Point in Central TX (the Sixpoint dudes). Should be here in the next 1-2 months from what I've heard.
called the Supervisor(Keg One) - he said - they already placed an Order and should be in before the End of the Month...
My beer guy actually said he spoke to his Brown rep today and BROWN is going to be distributing it in Austin.... and that the Keg 1 was just a rumor. Still January though.
Comng from keg 1 I heard they would be the boys in charge. I guess we'll have to let it all play out. As long as it shows up in Austin we'll all be happy.
I have also heard Keg 1 a from a few people. I also heard firestone walker is coming this coming year as well. That is pretty bad ass!
Sorry dude. It's the other way around. Keg 1 is bringing in Ballast Point. Brown handles Sixpoint. Sorry if I was unclear.
My neighbor works for Keg 1. He's bringing some Sculpin and Victory at Sea over on Sunday for a tasting so I imagine there is some of it in town. I'll ask him when they expect it to be on the shelf.
Brown and Keg 1 are better than BEK, and way, way, way...etc, better than CBC. I wish Deschutes would tell CBC to go fuck themselves and use Keg 1. Anyway, yay on Ballast for using a good distributor.
So, I know Pinthouse Pizza and Star Bar are tapping Sculpin tomorrow (Friday). Anyone heard anything about when BP bottles will arrive in Austin?
I haven't heard anything about bottles, but I have heard that the Owner and VP of Marketing for Ballast Point will be at Pinthouse so hopefully they'll know when.
Monday at 6:30pm is the official Ballast Point launch party at Pinthouse Pizza... I'll be there with freakin' bells on. From Facebook... If they have Victory at Sea on draught... I might die of happiness and joy.
I know Star Bar will have Victory at Sea at their party the same night, so I'd say it's pretty safe to guess Pinthouse will too!
Do you guys figure Spec's/Central Market/Whole Foods will have BP Monday, the same day as the release parties?
Barring unforseen technicalities like UPC issues or distributer hiccups, yes, that is what is supposed to happen. I'm going to bathe in Sculpin.
Pinthouse had sculpin on tap Friday. Grabbed a glass...a due to my miserable cold I couldn't taste the hops!!! Oh irony!!!
