As soon as they hit the Bell's General Store, you'll know.

Anyone know if it will be hitting the full distribution footprint? Only state Bell's ships to that I'll be visiting any time soon is Wisconsin...

It sounds like it will be distributed in all markets albeit very limited.

I'm from out of town but am in Kalamazoo for the weekend. Can I ask: where did you get it? At the brewery?
    Thanks

Mr. Mayor, help out a (fairly) new Michigander--what size bottles? General price range I can expect?

    Standard 12oz bottles.

Dunno about price. I recall it being 2.50 or 3.00 last year, but I may be off.

I am not the mayor, and don't want to step shoes, but since he helped me out I thought I'd pass it on.
12 oz bottles in sixes or cases. Six packs were just over 18 and a case was only sixty at the General Store. I am now wishing I just bought a case instead of my two sixes.

All this limited talk is very discouraging. As someone who consistently supports Bells all year, actually drinking a Kalamazoo stout as I write this, I will be slightly upset if I can't get my hands on at least one. I live in SE MI and have spoken to a couple of my beer store guys and they don't sound too optimistic that they are going to be getting much or any at all. The oracle is my absolute favorite Bells beer and will be sad to see it come and go.

Wow brother that is very generous of you to offer! Not sure what to say. I sent you a BM to see if we can work something out.

    Damn straight!

really bummed. I mean, i know we have access to awesome breweries here in Indy....but this is one beer that I've been looking forward to trying since last fall....i found a 10 month old bottle on the shelf at Whole Foods about 2 months ago and I imagine it's much better fresh.

Year in and out, this is a pretty tough get in SE Michigan. Last year I happened to be driving through Kalamazoo right after it was released, and grabbed a couple of sixers. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have gotten any.

5.99 a bottle at the Party Source in the Cincy area. Seems insane for that much!
  27. jaheussner Member

Oof. I got the draft only line from the distributor in DC. If anyone's looking for anything in the DC/ Maryland/ Virginia distro areas, BM me, I'd love to try this in bottles.

Yeah I was there on Saturday and the guy at the General Store told me that they had sold out earlier that day...shit! Oh well, it should be coming to my area any day now.

This normally does not make it to Illinois (at least previous 2yrs), can I assume it will be the same this year?

Illinois gets Hopsoulution, I will let people decide if that is an adequate replacement or not. I do believe that some did hit Illinois last year but in very limited quantity and only in Chicago.

Have you ever had the Hopsolution? If so, I would be interested in reading your review. It blurred the style guidelines for me and was a bit of a letdown.

I have had it on tap at Bell's a couple times but have never reviewed it. I think it is a solid beer but I would still prefer Hopslam, Oracle or Two Hearted over it.

Illinois - yes. Very limited draft only. No bottles, but I'll take draft only Oracle over ample Hopsolution.
