Plenty down in the springs. Opened 2012 and 2013 last night. I was reminded that it is a truly stellar beer.
Don't want to miss the regular and especially not the BA version, any word on Denver landings, especially south Denver any time soon?
Still have yet to see it in Northern CO, if High Country is doing the distributing then it all makes sense, but still disappointing. High Country Beverage is terrible in regards to their sales reps and distribution. They have access to such great stuff but are so terrible at getting it on the shelves.
Per Coaltrain, they sold out in very little time and only had one of the four cases that made it to the springs.
Haven't seen anything, but I heard those same numbers. I hear it's higher than that. I really hope it's true.
it is in the Dallas area, for what that is worth. Last year it hit the East Coast months before we got it in Alaska, which is actually closer and has a solid SN distribution infrastructure. I think they roll it out in waves, not all at once. But just going on my anecdotal observations.
Any word on which liquor stores are getting BA Bigfoot in the Denver area? Don't really want to call all over...
Apparently almost no one. Only one store has divulged they got a single case. Not sure where the other 19 cases disappeared to. Even the stores that seem to get the smaller distribution beers said they did not get any and didn't plan on getting any.
I've heard the same. Mile High isn't getting any because they aren't a "top 20" Sierra Nevada account, that's how I've heard its been distributed. Not sure how to figure out which are top 20 however...
I was talking to Mike about it in another conversation, and Sierra I bet has a very unexpected Top 20 accounts considering its unique role in the scene. It actually will be kinda fun finding out who sells the most SNPA.
Go get some on Saturday at Lukas: http://coloradobeernews.blogspot.com/2013/02/special-release-saturday-february-23.html
I called at 1:30pm and was told they didn't have it yet. Did you call about it? Were you there? Did you get a bottle? I don't really understand how I could have stalked Argo any more without camping out, lol.
I went there at 3:30 yesterday after someone else told me he was going to get one. No spot on the shelf, beer guy said it had come and gone and they'd only gotten a case, I didn't get one. I think they may have taken names so that all of the bottles were spoken for in advance and never hit the shelf.
