I'm filled with a ton of regret this instant, wishing I was up in Bellaire right now..

About 60ish people in line. Beautiful and 55deg. The way a release should be.

Not sure it will last to me. 5 case limit is stupid.

5 case limit person - any combo of Aww Jeah, Huma X and Anniversary Ale. I have no need for five cases, I bought one case of X & 1 case of AJ. I hope everyone got a chance to buy some.

Anyone else regret buying a case of Huma X? Aww Jeah is fucking phenomenal though.

Since the Huma X is bottle conditioned, will it age well at all? Or will the AJ age?

    I wouldn't age a D/IPA. I'm going to drink the AJ like it's water.

Best anniversary party yet. Absolutely awesome time and the BA beers are out of this world.

I typically agree, but they had Liberator from 09 on tap, which got me wondering about the age-ibility of the AJ or H-X.

I just popped my first AJ and agree it is awesome. I might risk aging a couple of these.

I was about thirty deep in line and when I saw the first several guys walk out with cases on dollies, I started to get worried. Thankfully it seems it was just a few of the early guys and most people grabbed less than 2 cases. Got a case and a couple sixers each of the Anniversary and Huma X

I have to say the Aww Jeah is everything I had hoped it would be, love this beer.

hopefully my parents didn't blow it. They live 10 minutes from the brewery, I asked them to pick me up some Aww Jeah... they grabbed the anniversary ale. Anyone know if there is any Aww Jeah left? they said they will stop by tomorrow

pretty sure they sold out the pre_release allotment but will probably have some left over from the actual aniversary party. Its worth having them check it out for you tomorow

Sounds like this event went so much better than DLD. Glad to have such a great event so close to home.

Still a small amount of Aww Jeah left at the pub when we stopped by around 11. Great DIPA.

Anniversary party was a blast from the music to the incredible food (wasabi pulled pork sliders & baked brie w/ soft parade syrup) to the beer of course.

Favorites were Bourbon Aphasia (old ale), Mmm Kay (2nd runnings Aww Jeah hoppy lager), Adia's Ale (golden ale w/ strawberries & kiwis) and Whiskey Happy Jack (12m whiskey barreled scotch ale).

Ohh baked brie with a Soft Parade sauce sounds awesome! Was the Pulled Pork smoked or baked off? Man, one of these days I'm going to make it down for the Anniversary Party, it's just hard with Michigan Tech graduation being the same weekend. We were busy as hell yesterday, and it's our first big weekend of the year so it's hard to escape.

That's actually really funny.... I filled up a dolley with beer but for some reason my girlfriend insisted on grabbing a case and carrying it. Walked across the street to the car following the dude hauling my beer while she carried that case all the way. Damn stubborn women.

Of course Steebo felt the need to give me shit and tried to publicly humilate me. Wouldn't have it any other way!

    Thanks Dblab, it's so good!

I like the contraband Hangin' Frank box in that pic. Such a better label than the ControversALE.

Seems like everyone had fun--I know I did.

Original Wizard Batch 666, '09 Mystery Stout, '09 Liberator....I could go on, but yeah...AWW JEAH!
