I bought one today at Total Wine in Northridge. There was only one sittng by itself on the shelf, no price. $15.99. I had no clue what it was and bought it because it looked good.
Still haven't seen it in Jersey. And...I don't think we'll ever see a bomber of Allagash here or anywhere unless they changed from 750 mL bottles to 22 oz. Either way, would love to have this beer again.
I'll be more than a little surprised if, after bottling a dozen limited releases in cork & cage 375ml, and all their other beers in cork & cage 750ml or crowned 12oz, Allagash suddenly switched to 22oz bombers for a special release at a bottle redemption joint in Windham, Maine. And nowhere else. And that would require separate label approval, too, or it would be illegal.
Myrik`s pic should be posting shortly, however I will admit that`s a big caged and corked 12.7.oz bottle, does this mean Allagash is in trouble, uh oh no big deal, they`re over rated anways
Picked up a bottle at Downtown Wines & Spirits in Somerville, MA last night for $16.99, that place is always a little pricey though. Came in a 375ml bottle. Can't wait to try it.
It hit GA on Tuesday, so it's getting full distro but limited. The three places I know of who got it was a case (6 bottles) each.
So yeah, confirmed available at TW today. Picked one up in Sterling, VA and there was one left. $12.99 for 375ml.
I picked up the final bottle at Beverage Warehouse in Marina Del Rey yesterday. I would imagine Stearns and Valley Beverage should have them soon if not already.
Breweries sell the bottles for MSRP, but stores get cases for less. For example, I can buy a case of PTE from the brewery for $120+tax, while a beer shop will pay $98 for the case. From what I have heard, TW frequently breaks even on their beer/wine/liquor sells, because they make a large profit from their house wine and other specific items. Hope that helps.
I wish. Allocation was tiny. FYI, the only case in North Atlanta went to North River Tavern, a sports bar that has no idea what a wild ale is. Kinda pissed a lot of us nearby off since they'll either sit and be forgotten about, or sold to someone not in the know for twice the retail cost. Either way, six willing people missed out.
Ah I see... I heard TW sets everything to the bare min and then when all of the local shops around it close they raise them back up
My sales guy told me he'd be hand delivering a case in Marshfield next Wednesday. My assumption is that since the Cape reps usually come around on Mondays (I think that's what I remember) any Cape locations getting it will have it then. Or they already got it if he's feeling ambitious...
