Apparantly there's a new brewery opening up in Northboro, MA.
Anyone heard of them? Any word on if they are brewing in their own facility or contract / gypsy brewing?
Anyone know when they may start distribution?

I believe it's brewed at Paper City. But this is just what my friend told me.

I hope its not more mediocre overpriced bombers. We get enough of that around here lately.

I'll ask around. There are only so many guys with beards in Northboro.

    This is their website: http://www.3beardsbeer.com/index.html

Only thing listed for beer is a schwarzbier. The mission statement seems like they select recipes from pro- and home-brewers.

I'm not sure relying on other people for recipes is a good business plan.

Hop bombs and barrel aged stouts or why even bother brewing right?

The American market is already flooded with well done German style lagers.

Serious question: Is there anything the market isn't flooded with? Oreo stouts? Truffle brown ales? Cloudberry and goji berry Berliner Weiss?
    ...Those are all trademarked recipes.

Dragon Fruit Lambics are the answer.

The beers are currently being brewed by Paper City Brewing. I know because I just saw their beer in the tank. I know nothing else besides this...

Edit: Jesus, this was sarcasm. Start with well made beers in styles that aren't already saturated seems like a solid plan. I hope the three beards also stay off BA to avoid the masses shitting on them before a keg has been tapped.

I know it was, but I replied like that because I do actually think it's true. Especially, since most of the well-done German traditional beers sit on shelves and we have Jack's Abby in our neck of the woods, we're not exactly lager starved around here. My response was still jokey and jnorton's was too...not sure why you went all lord's name in vain on us.

Good fresh single IPA's. Out of the 90 or so single IPA's that are available in the boston area (I used some local stores inventory lists to come up with a master list) I find only 9 worth buying - and out of those I consider myself lucky to find one that is less than two months old over three or four different stores.

For the love of beer ... why?

Don't get me wrong, there are a handful of Paper City brews that I enjoy when I run into them but the contract brews are all hit more miss ... lately more miss. Not going to start naming brands but some reviews as of late and some beers have been pushed back to the bar.

So there is a new "beer company" opening ... not brewery.

Hehe ... I don't see shitting but it is hard to take some of these newer brands seriously until the product is in the market. Being the new contact brewed brand on the block does not help either. Hope they have thick skin. :sunglasses:

It seems like MA is a hot spot for contract brews...

The label says "For best results, enjoy bearded." Fortunately I qualify.
