Since the love for him is strong, and he killed me with a crazy box of mega-wants in a trade for an old and oxidized beer. Rempo gets a vote from me.

Its clear who will will this but for the sake of naming some awesome BA's...

robinsmv gets my second nod. His presence will be missed along with his amazing berliner. Hes sent out bottles of the stuff pro-bono to people simply on the fact that they're BA regulars. Did I mention it was tasty as all hell?

A "now defunct but still in our spirits" apocalypsezombie gets my third nod for an insane box he sent me in the past and his generosity I've seen in other trades.

1) Brabander - Thijs is one of the most generous BA's around has helped me out on a ton of beer related problems this year and I am sure that almost half of BA has received their first Westys from him.

The first two guys think, post, and trade just like me, and I'd love to have a beer with them whenever they make it into the Chicagoland area, and the last two, since they seem to share everything anyway, for an amazing package they put together for me recently that pulled me out of a trading depression. Seriously, I was sending out what I thought were great boxes with sweet extras and getting shit in return for months. Then those two smashed my face with an amazing box the likes of which I had never seen!

Edit: Mark is a favorite of mine as well, but as a personal friend, which I believe was against the rules last year, I'll just have to show him some in-person love at our next tasting.

And by the way, I know firsthand how well he can handle a beanbag.

By the way, everyone who nominated 2 people as one entry, the second entry will not count. For example, my good friend Dan: your third nomination of leschkie/beerdy. Your vote for beerdy won't actually count, because you nominated him 4th chronologically in your post. Come at me bro.

Also, I wanted to make it a point to allow "personal friends". With the way trading has gone for many BA's recently along with the amount of traveling around it is inevitable some of your nominees will become friends IRL.

Is it a conflict of interest if I voted? I nominate Kzoobrew (BA of the year 2011), Arbitrator (even though he won't accept my beer anymore), and MarkIntihar (because he's actually too nice).

Without him, more than anyone else mentioned, this site would suffer noticeably. Take away his gracious dispersal of knowledge and there is a void no one else can, or would, fill.

MordorMongo- I met him at a beer tasting a few months back. His wife and him were extremely nice and he was very knowledgable. The man knows his beer!

Shout out to Cosmonick for the invite. I am not sure if he posts all that much, but I definitely had a blast! Likewise his wife and him were great hosts and really nice!

Markintihar- Someone once told me he is the 2012 kzoobrew, that has to count for something, right? I also hear he's a real jerk so that makes sense.

Jesskidden- I think we are all smarter because of him.

I was going to vote for Pasta but then I realized he is not an actual BA even though he goes through life with a forum handle for a name. He also skipped out on coming to Kalamazoo to drink Coors Light or some shit for a badge. Glad I didn't vote for Pasta after rethinking this.

So many great BAs out there it's hard to choose just a few. But my vote would be for:

MordorMongo - Amazing trader, super generous, really helped me out when I first joined BA, and is the voice of reason on BA. Always tells it as it is, no BS.

Beermefitz. The dude is so freaking generous. He travels around with beer in is trunk and just gives cases of beer to random people for nothing. He is an awesome BA!

Tchaos. This dude is amazing. Whenever something comes out in his area that he thinks I will want, he will get me a whole bunch of it and sends it to me for nothing. A class act for sure!

Mordormongo - never met him, but I have probably liked about 500 of his posts!

Also, great to see Levi get another vote. I nominate Levitation every year. One of these days everyone else will recognize Levi's greatness.

I'm a bit surprised to not have seen more of his name.....Brabander. He goes out of his way on a regular basis to help out fellow BAs. A lot of us give great extras, a lot of us are really cool to drink with in person and we will happily give you a pour of your personal whale that we just pulled from our cellar, but very few people (BAs and non-BAs) are close to as genuinely good of a person as Brabander.

I have a hard time nominating people I know, as I don't like to single 3 people out of the 20 or so equally excellent BAs I meet with semi-regularly each year. All of those BAs are great in their own right, but I'll pick 3 I don't personally know who make the online experience more fun:
1. Levitation: Every post is gold, the online arguments are very rewarding
2. Jesskidden: Stellar knowledge
3. Fuck it, I'll nominate seeswo who kills it every time we get together.

Edit: If Overlord remained as active as in past years he'd probably make my list. But he hasn't.

I don't trade but I have seen a few shout outs about Steimie. Surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet.
