I've done my fair amount of bottle shares, but I was wondering what kind of stuff you guys are considering bringing considering the epic-ness of what we will have just imbibed? Also, this is happening after Session 3 I presume? I may need a recharge at Duckfat before kicking back a few more brews.

I'd just stay away from Cantillon/3F or stuff that might be flowing. Some bottles I'm thinking about: Ananke, Berserker, Vanilla Framinghammer, maybe a few other things.

I'm kicking around some bottle ideas but will be mostly BA stuff along the lines of KDS, BA sexual chocolate, etc. nothing crazy.

Dont you guys pay attention?? The tickets are done bc of the LAW. In addition, there is plenty of info as to who is going to be there and special beers. Do you really need a list at this point? Wow...

If they're not going to publish a list of the beers online, that's fine, but it would be great if they hand us a list of what's pouring when we enter. (I think they did this last year - can't remember). This way I don't have to ask "what do you have" at every single booth, and then taking a moment to think about about what I want because that holds up other people in line. I normally wouldn't mind there being no published list, but because of the cap on the # of pours this time, I'd like to have something to reference so I can better plan the use of my tickets and time. One thing I think we can all agree upon is that time FLIES by at beer fests.

My memory is also a little fuzzy from last year, but I don't think they published a beer list ever, just a vendor list and map. All the vendors had signs though. Part of the philosophy of the event is they want you to interact with the brewers. Lines weren't a problem last year at all.

You make a great point with the last part, though. I'm volunteering on Friday, so I plan to use that time to do some scouting for Saturday.

They gave out lists and each booth had a list of what they were pouring last year. I don't think it will be any different.

Bought three-day tickets as soon as they came out. So, I have wanted to go since I saw the lineup last year.

At least one booth will stop taking tickets at some point, especially Saturday night. Asking for the list is normal to plan a "ticketed" beer fest. The small list that was published, helps plan.

Hopefully, instead of "policing" tickets taken and Maine laws, you worry about enjoying beer..

Okay, I have a question though. You get 48 1oz (24 x 2) tickets, right, so is that for each session or do you just get 48 1oz tickets which you then have to spread out for the 3 sessions.

Theres a BIG difference between 144 oz and 48oz.

I'm pretty sure the tickets are PER session, so 144oz total.

I still don't understand why everyone is freaking out about the tickets. It's Maine, people. I live up here and have been to numerous festivals, none of which have been tightly policed. Maybe the Shelton Bros festival will be different, but I doubt it. If it's brewers pouring beers, then I highly doubt anyone will care about collecting tickets. If it's volunteers, then it might be a different story. Usually volunteers think they're doing their "job" by being tight asses, so that's what I'm worried about. At the end of the day, there's gonna be some great beer here in Portland this weekend. Cheers

If anyone is looking for a good cheap (possibly hungover?) breakfast, Marcys on Oak street will be your place!

Last year it was volunteers pouring, but the guys that I know that are volunteering wouldn't be the "policing" type
