I'll have to remember Appalachian Vitners the next time I'm down there. You're right - Bruisin Ales is a bit pricey, but so is everything else in Asheville so I can't bust their chops too badly.

    Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the info! Keeping my fingers crossed that we can find time to get there. The social planner (wife) may have me completely booked up. :slight_frown::wink: Whether I get to the pub or not, Jai Alai will purchased, oh yes, it will...Count on it!

If I end up going to Florida in the late summer, I'll be packing my suitcase with Cigar City on the way home.

Same deal with Pittsburgh, Cincy and Cleveland on a road trip I'm going on and my annual trip out to Chicago to see Riot Fest in September. Might actually go visit Founders on that trip too.

Always a good plan. "Hey guys, nice to meet you. Your daughter is great. Now, how do I get to the brewery, I'm hoping to bring a fuck load of beer back with me. No really, it's like wine for me. You don't understand, I'm a beer advocate."

Just got back from a great family vacation to D.C. And Hershey, PA. First night, dinner at Dogfish Alehouse in Fairfax, followed up the next night with a trip to Fairfax Total Wine and a $200 bill for beers I can't get here in CBus, then to Troeg's in Hershey where I sampled all 10 beers, and got my Father's Day gift of a Nugget Necter T-shirt and a case of brewery only Wit Scratch #99. Yup, that was a pretty cool trip.

Immediate plans: Find some RuinTen around my area
July: Central/Eastern PA - Pizza Boy, Troegs, Monk's Cafe and maybe somewhere else around Philly if Pliny's on tap
August: Vermont - getting enough Heady to last me the rest of the year along with some other stops i.e. HF
September: Asheville - not sure what's all down that way but I'm excited. Heard good things about Wicked Weed

My wife and I usually go to a beerfest in Nashville towards the end of July with her aunt and uncle, but since it's so dam hot we've all decided to stock up on some beers we've never tried to have a day long tasting/southern Kentucky beerfest. Should be a good time. Picked up some sweet stuff in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and my aunt and uncle in law have some stuff they've been cellaring a while. Aside from that just drinking what I can where I can. Cheers!

Just spent a large amount of money on a new smoker. So, lots of BBQ. Heading to CA later in the year.

Hope you make it to Henlopen City Oyster House. My favorite spot in Rehoboth.

Well worth it. Excellent food. Show up early, as the place fills up fast.

Looking to visit Tired Hands Brewing Company in the next week or two. I've heard some awesome things coming from there. I may also try to arrange a tasting with someone from that area.
