Fitger's Brewhouse Gooseberry Gose

    I talked to one of the brewers today and he said their gose is going on tap, probably Friday-ish.
    Just wanted to let people know....

    How tart is their gose? Gooseberries can be pretty Malic tart, just wondering how it holds up.

    I don't know yet, it isn't out yet. The brewer said it was fairly lactic, more so than the Schell's Gose. He also said the name was going to be Gooseberry Gose, though no Gooseberries will be used. I am guessing they used that name after Gooseberry Falls...

    Just had the Gooseberry Gose. It is pretty damn good. Lactic character, you pick up very faint salinity, and the bouquet of coriander and lemony-green apple. I have had the Pour Decisions and Schell's Gose, this is by far the best. Pretty good job for a brewpub to nail this style. Off to Bent Paddle for cold pressed Dark!

    Wish I worked at brewery, would be pretty fantastic. Actually the name is Jake, been home brewing for years. Live Two blocks from Fitger's. home field advantage.

    The Gooseberry Gose is still on tap, the Mayor is done, but they have a Big Boat Coffee Vanilla Stout available. Both are great!
