Well, do you want to go to parts of the OC that don't suck? (The Beaches) Then you only have a couple of options. Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach (but that's almost LA county) Pizza Port in San Clemente is awesome. And La Sirena in Laguna Beach (the south Laguna location), has 20+ rotating taps of craft goodness across the street from world class resorts and beaches.

I'd also add that Valiant is worth a visit.

Finish out the night with $11 pitchers of Stone IPA at The Pump Room...haha

 

Definitely hit up Pizza Port San Clemente. It's awesome. I think Smog City just opened up too. Had some of their beers at Tustin Brewing Co last time I was in OC and they were pretty good.

Oh, and you must go to the Bruery.

 

It would help to list what city you'll be in and around.
