Not sure if this deserves its own thread or anything or if it's already been posted (I'm sure it has but whatever) but I figured I'd give you fuckers that are in Mass. or Southern NH a heads up.
The Craft Beer Cellar has the new style of Cantillon glasses in (they have half a dozen left as of tonight, I only grabbed one for myself.) This guy here:

    Wahaha fuckin' A right man.

I can't wait for tomorrow, when he's going to pick out a selection of craft brews, "tasting" exclusively from his ass, based on "texture." I don't think they realize he's just looking for a good excuse to get buzzed in the studio. I'm a huge The Who fan, so I never thought in a day when Stern had Daltry in the studio last week and spent literally an hour and a half going through the intricacies of certain things about certain songs (as opposed to the usual "personal life" sort of interview) that the highlight of the day, and week, for me would be Richard sipping a beer from his asshole.

Sorry about that man, I would've grabbed a few extras to trade or send out but I didn't want to be the dude buying up all the stock before locals had a chance to grab their glasses, so I only bought one.

It's 21 bucks per glass in-store by the way (which isn't bad considering it's not only imported glassware but Cantillon too), forgot to mention the price.

I've got a shit load of good stuff from CBC across tons of breweries. My old-style white logo Cantillon tulips I got from them, I just walked in one day several months back and there they were on the shelf. That place is unbelievably good.

If you don't mind going back sometime this week I would be happy to work out a deal!

It takes me just under an hour to get there (after rush hour that is, otherwise it's slow as shit), but I could get there again tomorrow after work probably, depending on how work goes.

Always looking for an excuse to go there either way to be honest, got lots of obscure brews I can't get up here and the place is friggin' great so it's hardly a chore.

I'll go again tomorrow man, and let you know.

That's pretty awful man, they price gouge the shit out of some of their glassware. They were selling the Fantome Chope glasses for 35 bucks recently...

...which is pretty great on the chopes, because you can't buy them anywhere. seriously, i mean, how is it price gouging when nobody else has them and you have to import them? it'll cost me a hell of a lot more to buy that Cantillon stem online and have it shipped from europe (if it's even available online).

I'm pretty sure they have more than a half-dozen - they keep a lot of glass in the back. I bought one close to a month ago now, and even at $21 I cannot believe they'd sit on the shelf that long - I bet they bought a big order.

Last I was in there they still had Fantome tulips at $25, 3F gueuze tumblers at $21, and a weird new 3F stange-like glass (taster?) at $21. Almost bought the latter but couldn't quite make myself pay that much...

N.B. - Suzanne told me the other day that they buy the Pretty Things glasses by the pallet :grinning:

Because they're still charging a ton for the and I'm guessing marking them up 2-300%.

I bought some Cantillon tulips there for $16 a piece which seems expensive but when you figure in import and rarity...I guess it's not that bad. Their glassware selection is definitely outstanding.

You can't buy these glasses anywhere and they cost a shit load to import, so it's not really bad at all. You don't have to buy them, no one is putting a gun to your head.

Anyway, I won't be able to make it there again today, I'll be at work until late tonight. Sorry about that kevanb, I'll see if I can get there tomorrow.

I actually do have to buy them as someone does put a gun to my head and forces me.

They did the same thing to me. I'm just still terrified so I don't want to talk about it. They also made me show them my balls.

They have three on the shelf, when I asked her how many they had out back she said they have three more.

I just ordered 6 of these glasses online from Belgium and even with the crazy shipping they were just under $20/glass.

Ya, I ordered 7, and they came out to about $18.50 a glass.

All I'm saying is I've bought Fantome tulips and 3F tumblers at another local store in the past for 9 and 10 a piece. I'm assuming CBC gets then cheap from the Shelton Bros too and is in fact price gauging.
