Should be fun, I have to go to a funeral. Anyone want to grab me a bottle or to, I'll pay you back in cash money.

Anyone bringing bottles early? I haven't heard much about it this time, but I plan on bringing a full cooler just in case (or maybe just a 3L if people are bottle sharing)

If there were a bottle share in the parking lot and I am not saying there is, but if there was, I would probably be bringing 3-4 bottles.

Not much chatter (Steve_O not included) for this event for an unspoken "early crowd" bottle share. I am going, just trying to decide how early... any rumors or feedback appreciated. - Cheers, Rob

I'm showing up at noon buying my bottles and jetting. I love CS but I hate crowds even more.

I'm going...I'll be there around noon. This will be my first Crooked Stave "event", so I dont know what to expect. I'm planning on going the entire afternoon to taste the rainbow, but it really depends on their crowd control. I'll bring a few bottles to share just in case....

I wouldn't know. Several hours of waiting and got nothing. Getting sick of feast or famine.

Not try it on tap? They said they'd have it all day on tap. Worth it to just get a glass.

I agree. Other places have handed out tickets so you know early on if you are going to get a bottle or if you should get to another place that is not as packed to enjoy a beer. After 3 hours of the line moving a few feet then stopping for 15 minutes, they announced that the bottles were sold out. Know it's their first sale like this but come on...

Agreed. Almost three hours, and I got nothing. A 6 bottle limit and only 1500 bottles - poor planning/organization. I sure hope they find a better way to do this with whatever their next big release is.

At the end of the day, Crooked Stave has no obligation to release the beers in a certain way. I'm bummed that some people didn't get bottles, but there were a lot of people who were in line at 9 or 10 AM. It's the brewery's choice whether to do a 6 bottle limit, 2 bottle limit, etc. No matter how they decide to do it, there are going to be people who are pissed that they didn't get bottles, but there are a ton of people who put in the time and effort to do what it takes to be certain they get the bottles.

Bottom line...the only guaranteed way to get bottles is to get there early. We knew the number of bottles, bottle limit, price, and everything else ahead of time. What else can we ask for from a limited beer release, especially from a brewery who has NEVER experienced this much demand at a release?
