Well, Aprils Brews Day is next Saturday. It's a fun little fest, and I might be able to find a VIP ticket for ya.

Currently working on the top end of OZ. Really been missing Northern Hemisphere Christmas. Another summer Christmas down here and I will snap. Miss winter warmers in proper winter

I managed a bar in La Grande Oregon - "Bud Jacksons." The only place I have ever walked off the job - it was aweful. Nice people - alittle too red kneck for my NYC roots.

If you find yourself in Port Angeles, WA, check out Barhop Brewing Company on the water at 124 Railroad Ave. They are also the only place in town you can get one of our up and coming nano brewery's beers, the Dungeness Brewing Company.

I don't think they have a tasting room yet, but do make it a point to try anything you see from Heater Allen, especially if you like a well-made lager. The more of their beers I drink, the more I think they are the best brewery in Oregon, and among my top 5 in the country.

According to their website: "Our Taproom/Tasting room has been slightly delayed. It is looking like it may be June before we will be officially open. We do plan on being open the Saturday of Memorial day weekend from 12-5pm. Currently our new cold room is being installed, which is the reason for the delay. Pictures to come!"

Not sure if they are still under the radar but my 3 favorite PDX places currently are: The commons, Occidental and Breakside

in vancouver, don't think the old ivy taproom and bottle shop(formerly salmon creek brewery and by the bottle) have been mentioned yet. I've been in a couple times since they reopened, pretty good spot for vancouver. theres also a couple of breweries a block or two away from there. not that their beer is all that stellar but maybe worth a stop if you're already there. also nearby is the brickhouse, good beer and i hear goodwings.
