Newman's Albany Ale and Winter Ale, from the refillable plastic gallon cubes. Also (halfway across the country) Summit Pale Ale and Porter and the newly-introduced specialty lineup from Schell. Oh, sorry, that's what I was drinking in the 1980s.

    In Denver in the 90s...

    1. Red Hook ESB
    2. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
    3. Fuller's ESB
    4. Bridgeport IPA--my gateway "hoppy" beer believe it or not. This weaned me from SNPA, Fullers & Red Hook, in about 1992, but it wasn't everywhere I drank.
    5. Avery 14er ESB, Avery IPA (I think, by the late 90s, I was into this; for sure the ESB though)
    6. Odell's Cutthroat Pale Ale, thanks to "Odells Mark" aka Mark Bangert, brewery rep and frequent customer at Old Chicago Colorado Boulevard, my local throughout the 90s. (Now he's w/ Beverage Distributors I believe), and later 5 Barrel but I believe in the 90s Odell's pale was the Cutthroat...also drank their IPA which I can't remember if it was just "IPA" as it is now; think so.
    7. Great Divide Denver Pale Ale, at Choppers Sports Grill in the Cherry Creek neighborhood, near my office...It's been awhile sins I've been in but I think it's STILL on tap there, I would say for at least 15 years now; could be 18. I think the owner of GD made that sale, probably been awhile since Brian Dunn made an appearance at a sports bar to get a handle...

This is a pretty good representation of what I was drinking in the 1990s. The XXX and Labatt's Genuine Draft were duty free purchases. We'd always pick up cases on our way back from Toronto.

Not even sure.I know I once in a while have Anchor or Liberty but even now it's a bit pricey.I never really got into Pete's but it seems like there was some "Wickeder" just can't recall. And I never got into Sam Adams either.I remember trying Pyramid and trying Samuel Smith's in the 80"s.So all I can say for sure is one of my old stand bys then and now is Foster's.But I was drinking a lot of Vodka & 7up then too.

I was still drinking Ecto Cooler in the 90s. I can only imagine how different the craft beer landscape looked back then.

There was a considerable difference between what I was drinking in the early 1990s and the wider range of choices available by the late '90s.
    Early '90s it was primarily:
Summit (Great Northern Porter, EPA and later the IPA)
    Bert Grant's (IPA)
    SNPA
    Mackeson XXX
Samuel Smith's (probably mostly Taddy Porter IIRC)
I'm sure several others I'm forgetting
When Bell's Two Hearted became available I was all over that

When I first turned 21 and was working at a liquor store in 1997, I remember the following beers flying off the shelves:

Pete's Wicked Summer Brew and Strawberry Blond
    SNPA
Blue Moon Nut Brown (I really liked that one)
Oregon Raspberry Wheat (couldn't keep it on the shelves)
    Catamount anything
    Mackeson XXX Stout
    Long Trail Ale
    Sam Adams Octoberfest
    Sam Smith anything
    Sam Adams Triple Bock

These are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

I used to like making black and tans with Guinness and Pete's Summer.....weird.

I was on Phish and Dead tour through much of the 90's so had the benefit of drinking a lot of good beer from a lot of good cities. I remember being crazy for new Belgium, and when I rediscovered it years later being pretty disappointed. Also, a lot of
    Bells
    Rogue
    Longtrail
    Magic Hat
    Sammy Smith bombers
    Mississippi Mud
