+1 to this. And if anyone knows of a "can't miss" event for that first Sunday (6/2), I'd love to know about it as well.

I know for the opening Friday I'm hoping to hear bout the Growlers and Cambridge lists. They r both talking big things but no details yet.

Also I hope Barcade is taking part this year. I'm not sure. They had a serious opening night list last year for PBW.

No Hill Farmstead events during PBW this year. If you missed the HF event at The Cambridge then your SOL for any other events from them

Funk Buddha may be coming up for a few days, Tuesday - Thursday (not sure if they're bringing beer or just visiting) as per their twitter

Agreed. Sunday Sour at Nodding Head and Who the hell at Monk's are appearing to be the only two I might hit up.

Thought it was a good time for another "Random PBW updates, tidbits, etc." post:

    - the official PBW guide was released today. An 88-pager as a 58.4 MB pdf file - http://www.phillybeerweek.org/pdf/2013_PBW_Keepsake.pdf

    - the taplist for the Jose Pistola's brunch on Sun. June 2nd is the only Deschutes tap/bottle list I've seen so far (submitted earlier today for the BA calendar, 2nd event down on following page). Black Butte XXIV, Dissident, Fresh Squeezed IPA, etc. - http://phillybeerweek.org/bio_page.cfm?venue_code=67

    - another new-for-PBW brewery that has beers coming around is Carton out of North Jersey as their BOAT beer is starting to pop up at some city bars already

    - Just saw a bit ago about the Farmers' Cabinet lineup (it's in the guide). What caught my eye was the import heavy they're putting out for the first two days: a 26-tap takeover between Nøgne Ø and Haandbryggeriet (no list yet)

The Farmers' Cabinet always had my go-to events of the last two years. I can't believe they're managing to get some good events going this year but more power to them I guess! The Mikkeller takeover of the last two PBW was awesome!

Never been there for pbw, but just about every other time I went to farmers all they had was imports. The week overall is shaping up nicely, but still missing that WOW! event.

In the same vain of "it's beer week every week" I plan on hitting up some events that feature the locals. I find it funny that the main draw of "Philly" Beer Week is rare beers from out of the area.

Looks like Capone's isn't participating officially in Philly Beer Week but still having events. His latest email listed "Draft Week." Kind of funny though unsurprising.

I believe last year was the only time he officially participated in PBW. All the other years his events were "unofficial"
I guess Matt realized it's pointless to pay the money to PBW when he can have the events on his own.

Hulmeville Inn is referring to theirs as "Beer Week"

Hulmeville actually paid/is participating in PBW

Yeah I'm assuming Jeff is just lazy in his emails.

edit: Basically, you can't refer to Beer Week at all if you aren't paying them even if you drop the Philly. They will hound and / or sue you if you do. Hence "draft week."

This is the first year in a while I am not going... Either I am spoiled, or burnt out, or this year doesn't have anything as exciting as years past. (Maybe a combination of all three)
