    An Air Force assignment to Germany in 1998 changed my view of beer forever. Now I enjoy all styles, some more than others in certain seasons, except of course, American macro-swill. Bob Klein's Beer Lover's Rating Guide helped steer me away from the bad stuff and onto the good stuff. I am humbled to have had Chimay Blue & Red in Belgium, Weihenstephaner and Erdinger in Southeastern Germany, Ettaler Kloster Dunkel in the hotel run by the monastery in Ettal that makes it, and Pilsner Urquell in the Czech Republic. Since returning from Germany in 2003, I've been focusing on wonderful American brews. I am humbled to have had Sam Adams Utopias in their South Boston brewery. I look forward to trying more great beers in the years to come.
