I'm sports editor of the Bryan-College Station Eagle, where we cover four large public high schools, a handful of local privates, about 25 area high schools and Texas A&M University.

My beer-drinking experience is relatively limited, especially in terms of micro-brews and on-tap beer. In 1995, a college professor turned me on to Samuel Smith's Old Brewery Pale Ale, and I loved it. I still love it, but obviously much has happened on this side of the pond since 1995, and starting in late 2012, I began getting back into beer. The hop-heavy American IPA is becoming a favorite, but ultimately I want to give everything plenty of chances as I look for more favorites.
