I'm an amateur brewer and beer advocate from Rock Falls, Illinois. I currently reside in South Bend, Indiana.

Literature, music and beer in good company are fine things.

Critically, I see beer no differently than any other art, and attempt to think of it as such. Socially, I marvel at the capacity beer has to bring people together. I detest pretension.

In terms of brewing, I'm attempting to get a handle on basic styles (in the same way an author or artist would) so that more complicated takes upon them might be attempted, and further, to attempt the unholy fusion of initially disparate styles or genres to reveal otherwise imperceptible characteristics and generate new characteristics altogether.
